“Nice boutique hotel in a good location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2012

This is a good hotel with well furnished modern rooms. I stay here quite often when in London its a good location close to tube main roads in/out.

The hotel is set in its own little square which is nice, as you can sit outside weather permiting and enjoy some peaceand quiet with a beer whilst been in a busy area of London.

The rooms are functional and modern, comfy beds, modern art works on the wall, desk and plenty of sockets for lap top, phone chargers etc etc. Free wi-fiand nice flat screen tv powered by apple tv boxes.

I ve still yet to eat in the restaurant yet as thats the one area that lets this hotel down for me. The restaurant and bar seem to lack any sort of atmosphere so I cant comment on the food although the menu looks ok.

Over all always a comfortable night sleep with everything I need. Definitly worth a visit.

:-)

The décor of this hotel is gorgeous – really funky and modern.
Comfy bed, apple TV, floor to ceiling window, desk and small dressing table with mirror in the room and a massive walk in shower in the ensuite bathroom.
Helpful and professional staff on Reception.
We didn’t get a chance to eat at the hotel’s restaurant but it did look nice.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and would not hesitate in staying here again.

We had a very enjoyable short stay here. The room was very comfortable and clean with a view over the square. the shower was wonderful. The staff were helpful. The area around the hotel is quite lively and there is a cinema and Sainsburys opposite.

This boutique hotel is well placed on Bermondsey Street which is really buzzy and full of great bars, restaurants and shops. Its good value for London if you book the web rate and the rooms are stylish and well appointed.
The only down side is the lack of parking (nearest NCP is a good 10 minute walk and £20 a day) and I was disappointed with the breakfast which wasn't in keeing with the vibe of the restaurant and was expensive.

The hotel is lovely and modern, good value for money and has all the facilities you'd need. The bed was really comfortable and I got an excellent nights sleep. We had a front facing room, so got a lovely view of the square and the market.

We didn't eat in the hotel, but the restaurant and menu looked lovely.

The staff were friendly too.

Would definitely return if I was in the area.

Stayed two nights last week. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable, clean and quiet bedroom. The beds were particularly comfortable, we didnt want to get up.Food very well presented and cooked. Breakfast was very filling.

Accessability to central London much better than anticipated.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I use this hotel regularly for business trips as I work in the City. I used other hotels in the city centre but found the decor tired and the rooms clinical. The Bermondsey Square Hotel was recommended by our Corporate Travel department. It is a boutique hotel, not very large, which lends to the atmosphere. Newly built, it is nicely decorated and has an upbeat modern feel. There are tea/coffee facilities in all the rooms and Apple TV. The staff are friendly and the restaurant does really good food. My one criticism is that being small, sometimes if there are a lot of people checking out there can be delays in the morning but overall I find it a very pleasant experience. The rooms are a little small but the beds are wonderfully comfortable.
