“Nice outdoor, but food was disappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2014

Decided to try for a Sunday roast. The decor is very nice, big outdoor area. But the food was really disappointing. I'm not sure what the gravy but it just tasted like fat for the roast lamb and vegetables. Beer is pricey, food is pricey. Such a shame for a good looking venue.

“Colleagues Drinks”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2014 via mobile

Stubbled across this little gem when organising a colleagues leaving drinks at work. Very nice atmosphere and the staff are friendly too. The beer garden is large although I was a little put off that the cushions on the seats still had the plastic on. Not the cheapest pub, but then again the price was around the top end of average for a London pub. Well worth a visit, stop by.

“Nice atmosphere but food disappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2014

Went for Sunday lunch recently. We hadn't booked and it was fairly busy. We ordered and fairly quickly got our food, roast beef and roast chicken. I wish I could rave about it but I can't. The veg was actually the best part but the roast potatoes and the meat were below par especially at the price they charged. Bread sauce for the chicken (which was on the menu but not supplied so I had to ask for it) was a cold lump of gloop that looked like wall paper glue and tasted pretty much the same (I imagine). The gravy was thin and most likely out of a packet. Overall rather a disappointment. How difficult is it it to cook a good Sunday roast ? I would love to know of a reliable pub/restaurant that does, especially in this area.

“Good modern gastro pub”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2014

Recently spent a sunny Sunday afternoon enjoying a very good roast lunch in the garden.
We ordered a burger and a roast chicken….both were superb and reasonably priced!
The garden is very good despite being next to the road and the railway tracks (not too loud).
All round it's a great pub with good food, good service and a good atmosphere…for sports fans, they do show sport!!
My only negative: Would like to see a better selection of micro brewery/London beers!!

“Great Sunday Roast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2014

I have been to this restaurant a few times and the food is above standards. I only had 1 bad experience but they quickly rectified it. The manager takes pride of the restaurant and ensures that the service level is outstanding.
This is probably the best Sunday roast I have had. The atmosphere of the pub is homely and welcoming. There is a log fire going on and the staff are really friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant and a great place to go with friends.
