“Very clean but over priced”
Reviewed November 30, 2013

My partner and I stayed at the Trevobir Hotel as we had tickets to go and see a show at Earls Court. Location wise this hotel is fantastic and very easy to find - we came out of the station and within minutes found the hotel, which was great as we were under time constraints

On arrival the night reception man was blunt and quite frankly customer service was not his forte! He hardly looked up and when I asked a question he just repeated the same request. Rooms were a let down, but on the plus they were very clean. Much of the hotel is very dated and seemed a bit unloved as the telly looked as though it was going to fall off the wall and proper care hadn't been taken with the furnishings; for example pictures and clock not straight on the walls etc.

Having said the above, we did sleep very well and on departure the member of staff at the front desk was really very helpful and much more customer focused.

Overall the hotel is ok for one night and very clean but over priced for a very basic room with no frills whatsoever.

When I went downstairs to ask for new towels as dirty ones had been left in room from previous occupant, the night manager was extremely rude and unapologetic.
Rooms are so small you can't open a small suitcase on the floor- just bed and walls.
Breakfast was good and the staff serving it very friendly.
Excellent location near earls court tube.
That said, I won't be going back.

Thank you ‘740Bill’ for posting a review. Firstly I would like to apologise to you regarding the dirty towels left in your room. This is totally inexcusable and I will be investigation this further with my Housekeeper and Night Manager.
I am pleased that you enjoyed the breakfast and found the breakfast room staff to be friendly.

It really is a shame, the staff are friendly and the included breakfast is great. The location is first class if you are here to visit something at earls court as it is just 100m away, lots of bars and places to eat within 200m away and a fairly safe area too.

However I would not stay here again as the room was just vile, it smelt of damp and drains. The single bed was so small and like other people have said like a prison bed. The fixtures and fittings were very odd as it was a mix of new tv and nice pictures with manky old chair I would not sit on and a table I did not want to put my things on.
Thank Goodness I was only there for one night as there is nowhere apart from a small cupboard that you really would not want to put your clothes anyway. The bathroom is like a downstairs toilet you have in your house with a shower stuck in it but the shower was good and powerful with good quality toiletries.

I got no sleep at all due to the smell and bed but also to top it off was the noise, even for London standards this hotel is noisy. The sounds of the other guests compete with the elevator and the outside "London noises".

By London standards this hotel is very cheap but it is really a personal choice if the cost is more important than the comfort when deciding if you should stay here.

I really hope the hotel management takes note of the reviews given and refurbishes the rooms because it would make such a difference and I would probably stay again if they did.

Room Tip: Maybe the high floor rooms are better!!!??? I stayed in the basement!

I enjoyed my stay here. 2 minute walk to the tube (Earls Court Tube Station), a minute or 2 walk to lots of pubs, restaurants, shops, laundromats, post office etc. Very handy place to stay. Staff are polite, and the room was always well stocked with soap, TP, tea, coffee etc. Rooms are small and bathroom can make them quite humid, but the rooms do have air conditioning so it's a problem quickly solved.
Breakfast is complimentary and consists of tea, coffee, juices, cereals, toast, yoghurt, ham, cheese & croissants. Perfect for the traveller who is just after a basic breakfast & ready to hit the road.
Wifi was good, hotel was quiet and reception is open 24hrs. Safe also available at the front desk. Would stay again.

It seems that this can be very hit and miss depending on the room. Myself and a colleague had a single room, and a twin room. Both were not big enough for a decent size adult. Tiny rooms, and even smaller bathrooms. Twin room was nothing like the pictures, and felt more like a dungeon with prison beds. Definitely need to see your room before staying there. Poor nights sleep! I wouldn't recommend it, and wouldn't stay here again.

I stayed at the Trebovir hotel for 2 nights in June. It was in a great location, very close to the underground and within walking distance to many local cafes and restaurants.
The room was compact yet clean. There was enough space to get ready!
If you're in London as a tourist and primarily want to use your room as a base from which to explore then the Trebovir is perfect for this. I would definitely book again.
