We had booked and prepaid for our meal as part of an online deal. £14.50 all you can eat with a free cocktail thrown in. The friend who had booked the vouchers had called the restaurant twice and they had said it was fine to have the vouchers on her phone. As soon as we entered a small rude man started an argument about the fact we had to have printed vouchers & the phone codes weren't accepted. We then spent the first ten minutes in there arguing that we had already paid for the meal and all they needed was the codes. Eventually this arrogant man gave in (after a colleague had had a word). We had two full paying guests in our group too, and once this was mentioned his attitude changed!
At the end of the meal we were obliged to pay a mandatory £1.80 service charge despite the service! In effect the vouchers, that were such a hassle, only saved us about £3 each. It would've been cheaper to use a taste card!
Food was ok, not the best and the whole experience was tainted by the rude little man. Although he did apologise after we had paid...
