“Charming Greek Restaurant”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

We went on a Monday night, so it was about half full . The restaurant is clean, bright and fresh.
The starters were pretty small , l had Greek Sausage (four pieces the size of my little finger), but the mains were good portions, this was the real problem as l wanted everyone else's and still keep my own !
The lamb dishes were heaven as was the salmon, and my last friend loved her rabbit, which the chef later assured me was English and not frozen from who knows where. Some dishes come with
Orzo pasta, typically Greek and tasty.
For dessert l had ' custard in filo pastry ', and despite our charming waitress doing her best it was hard to describe. I would say that it is a baked custard with pastry top and bottom, so it is not crisp, just enough lemon flavour and served with a light syrup, not too sweet, and not too much.
If you do need filling up by this stage, l would suggest the 'Babana Split' which came the size of a small loaf, and was also a treat.

If you need filling up l would suggest the ' Banana Split ' which came the size of a small loaf !

“Nice Greek restaurant”
Reviewed June 28, 2013 via mobile

Chanced upon this restaurant as it was round the corner from the British Museum. We had the sea bass and the grilled spring chicken. Sea bass was nicely grilled and so was the spring chicken. Saw other customers having the lamb which also looked good.

“Delicious!”
Reviewed June 26, 2013

This was a wonderful find for us. We were tired and looking for good food around the corner and there was this lively active full restaurant! We walked in and were delighted with the prices and very Greek feel to the place. We both had the Sea Bass and the house white wine. Delicious. All around fantastic for the price. We actually sat outside and it was divine. GREAT!

“Authentic Greek Taverna, popular with locals”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

Really enjoyed our Saturday evening meal at the Konaki -- the place was really buzzing with what appeared to be locals and the food and Greek wine (Nemea Montenero) went down really well. Location is great, close to British Museum, and it was fun comparing some of the models of Athena, Dionysus and Hermes above the bar with the real ones in the Museum the next day!

I had the lamb cutlets (Paidakia), my wife the Moussaka and my son the Steak and all three of us were very pleased. The Kataifi for dessert (shredded pastry, honey, nuts) was awesome, even if it did look a bit like Dougal from the Magic Roundabout!

Seriously though, would certainly go back and happy to recommend.

“Nice enough but slow service”
Reviewed May 16, 2013

Visited for a week day lunch for 5 people.

The service was extremely slow and laid back. The food however was just about worth the wait.

More for a laid back lunch or dinner.
