A bit of a pity, since it had a very cozy feel to it, with the nice large sofas, making you truly feel like in a living room.

Went in a friday lunchtime with the place quite full.

The menu was a bit of a let down so had to settle for fish and chips but they were lovely.

Think the good is a little pricey but staffwere nice and friendly.

We visited on Friday night at 8pm. Initially we were sat down in the main bar area where we were surrounded by drinkers and not diners. We couldn't hear ourselves talk, however when the very nice French waitress came over she offered to move us to a quieter part of the restaurant where there were 2or3 more tables being used. It was clearly more a bar than restaurant. She told us it was the last night and then it was closing to reopen as a Slug and Lettuce! As a result some things were missing from the menu but we were quite happy with our choices. The food was ok, the service excellent but I thought it was a little pricey. We decided to stay and have a couple of drinks in the now very busy bar. The music was pretty good. However the bar staff weren't great particularly the bearded barman who had a surly attitude and in my opinion didn't enjoy his job!! If a TLR opened near us we would probably give it another go.

Stopped here twice for a 'grazing lunch' over the same weekend and it was great. Certainly streets ahead of Strada two doors down where we unfortunately chose to eat on Saturday night. Although not cheap, the menu is varied and attractive. We had the 'sliders' (mini burgers) with the beef, crab and tuna fillings which were superb. Service was really friendly and efficient - especially by a chap whom I think was called Anes, who served our party of 12 in record time! On the Sunday afternoon there was a superb female singer and piano player in the bar which was an added bonus.

We recently stopped in at the Living Room after a day at the Tower. It was unbelievably quiet amidst the summer crowds of London and actually a pretty good value as the prices were "relatively" inexpensive and the food and drink were quite good. Good place for kids too and a short walk over to St. Katherine's Docks and a cup of coffee. Don't be intimidated by it's location, it's really a good spot for lunch and a break.
