Description: In the beautiful surroundings of Hélène Darroze's two Michelin-starred restaurant at The Connaught, her lifelong passion for the finest produce and incredible skill is reflected in every aspect of one of Mayfair's most intimate dining experiences. Each day, Hélène selects the very best and freshest ingredients from the network of suppliers she has spent a lifetime gathering, and cooks them with precision, honesty and passion. The resulting menu celebrates the tastes and textures of the most stunning individual produce, prepared in a way that allows each ingredient to shine. At the heart of this whole experience is trust. It starts with the trust that Hélène places in her suppliers, to provide her with exceptional produce, of impeccable seasonality and provenance. And it extends to the diners, who place their trust in Hélène's culinary skill by selecting from the simple list of exceptional ingredients available that day, to be served as a succession of impeccably realised dishes. The result is a thrilling expression of French culinary craft, delivered with a contemporary flourish, enjoyed in a truly elegant setting. India Mahdavi's calm, sophisticated interior and a specially commissioned glasswork installation celebrating the visual beauty of the ingredients found in Hélène's cooking complete what is a feast for the eyes and nourishment for the soul.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary.
Had the a la cart menu, and wine recommended by the sommelier.
Exceptional quality service, really nice staff, amazing food.
And they don't overcrowd so it doesn't feel as stuck up as some of the other michelin starred places, that was a great plus.
Highly recommended

I admit we took a long time to make up our minds what to eat while we had our pre lunch drinks but when we were called to the table we waited too long for the amuse guele, which was delicious. By the time our first course arrived we had eaten too much of the delicious bread and french butter but we were all happy with our choices. Then... the wait for our main course seemed interminable. The charming maitresse d' apologised profusely so it was not just my imagination and when they arrived it was all perfect. The food and the service were impeccable but since the restaurant was only a third full the waiting was really inexcusable - our main course was served after 2.30 and we had arrived a bit before 1 o'clock. Sorry about this complaint but a long awaited family treat was rather spoiled, despite the delightful staff.

My boyfriend's sister bought us a gift card for brunch at Helen Darroze at the Connaught and it was a delightful experience. I enjoyed walking around the tables serving the starters and was lost for choice on the bread selection. I was pleasantly surprised with the brioche being served as they resembled muffins! The bread was terrific and was definitely one of the highlights of brunch. I'd definitely recommend getting the chocolate and raspberry brioche, the plain croissant and butter breads. The few other starts including the crab and lobster I selected were delicious. For main I got the beef burger and personally found the beef overwhelmingly salty, however my boyfriend liked it so this may have been a case of personal preference. My boyfriend's chicken main was lush and left us little room for dessert. Some of the petit fours we picked were not to our liking, for example the cupcakes we chose had gone rock hard and tasted rather bland. However we were intrigued by the famous waffles that were being served up and ordered one. It was delicious and so was the lemon tart. In all, a mouthwatering experience never to forget!

We spent a really wonderful evening there on Saturday night. Everything flowed so seamlessly from the moment we arrived - a really warm welcome - to the fautless attention to detail that was present in every aspect of the overall experience. The food, of course, is fantastic. We were amazed at the creativity and combination of flavours present in our 9 course tasting menu - it was very extravagent but a real treat for a special occassion. As with other reviews, the place is formal but warm at the same time, so you really feel very comfortable and it makes the overall experience really lovely. This place is definitely in my top restaurants in London!
