“We love Store street”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2013

The Paradiso restaurant seem to be here for ages. I work nearby and we have spent several Friday evenings in this proper Italian restaurant.

We loved the salads and pasta. You can drink a nice Italian wine as well and never say that you are enough. If you are lucky enough and the weather is nice you can enjoy the scenery in this up and coming street a minute walk from The British Museum.

“Food was good but service left much to be desired”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2013

A friend and I went for an early meal and were offered any seat we wanted which was a good start. The food was good, my seafood dish was well presented and a good portion. My friends escallope was also well presented.

The food was good, have been many times and always found it fine. However the service was very poor. One of the waitresses was friendly but the other two really seemed like they wished they were somewhere else, doing something else. It was hard to get their attention whilst they chatted and a smile was never present.

The automatic adding of 10% to be bill was perhaps a littlel steep in light of the poor service by two of them. We just hoped that it would be shared with the very nice young waitress there.

“Standards have plunged”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

This restaurant used to be one of the best italian restaurants in this area. I now cant find anything to say. The service was without a smile. The mozzarella starter was not worth £9. The pizza with porcini mushrooms came with non porcini mushrooms. The house wines were ok. It is sad to see standards have slipped so much. There are so many good italian restaurants in this area- i'd give this one a miss.

“Outdated”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2012

The menu looked interesting with many choices from pizzas to entrees so we decided to stay for dinner. We ordered few app two pizzas and a salad. The "arancino" or rice ball where the worst I ever had in my life; the rice was old and stale and most likely where cooked in a microwave. My pizza was uneatable (note for the chef: never use rapini on a red sauce), and the margherita was average at the best. I noticed other dishes on other tables and they all looked like italian-american dishes in the 80's. Would not recommend.
