Description: Tucked away on Archer Street in the heart of London's Theatreland, Bocca di Lupo is a vibrant Italian trattoria restaurant catering to Soho socialites and luvvies alike. Ex-Moro chef Jacob Kenedy and his partner, general manager Victor Hugo, have created this chic restaurant renowned for its regional Italian dishes. As soon as Bocca di Lupo opened, it began earning enormous critical acclaim and ever since, this buzzy and highly accessible restaurant has continued to receive numerous awards and accolades for its simple, well-executed Italian cuisine and casual ambiance. The dining room at Bocca di Lupo is dressed with canvases by Haidee Becker, or if youre seeking art in motion, curious culinarians may dine at the chef's counter with views of the kitchen at work. Signature dishes include the rustic pork and foie gras sausage with faro and porcini; and the burnt almond granita with bitter chocolate sorbet.

A fun and noisy Italian restaurant that's been here it seems forever. Classic Italian; a great wine list; friendly staff...but if you're in a hurry and want a discreet meal, forget it. But that's not what Bocca di Lupo is about.

Went for dinner with friends as a group of six. I have been several times before but none of the others had. We asked the waiter to bring us a selection if dishes for the table to share. Every dish was delicious and every member of the group enjoyed the experience. The service was excellent and the wine list was great and varied. This is a small restaurant with very authentic Italian cuisine. Book well In advance as it is seldom quiet.

I enjoyed a business lunch here and was expecting the usual rubbish standard London Italian fare but the authenticity and quality of this cooking stunned me. The authentic Roman dishes - carciofa alla giuda, bucatini all' amatriciana, tripa - were better than I have ever had in Trastevere. Anchovies stuffed with sage and deep fried courgette flowers were superb and the ingredients and presentation were totally faithful to the region of Italy they came from. Don't go to any other Italian in London until you have eaten all the menu here,

Just loved this place, 2nd time I have been here. The restaurant is extremely smart with modern lovely decor. There are two seating areas upstairs - counter seats that overlook the bar & cooking area - both great places to sit & watch the staff create beautifully fresh and interesting food; & the main dining area for couples & larger groups. The place seems hectic due to the close proximity & openness of the kitchen but only adds to the fantastic atmosphere.

The menu has some amazing dishes from many regions of Italy as with the wine. It is lovely to see so many traditional/regional dishes given such elegant refinement.

The attitude of the staff was great but the fact that the restaurant always seems so busy & the food is cooked fresh occasionally means a dish is served a short time after the others. This is not really an issue & I certainly wouldn't go here if you are in a rush. That is not because the service is slow (it is not, it was excellent), I just would not want to rush the experience of the atmosphere & the extremely high quality food. I would be happy to recommend to friends.

Price wise, it's not cheap but great value

TIP - I would definitely try & book, even for lunch.

We have been to this place many times over the past years and it never disappointed us. You will not find maybe the traditional known dishes you expect from an Italian but what they have is really of great quality. Great thing is that they change their menu regularly allowing you to discover food from Italy you never have experienced before.

It's difficult to get in tough so it's recommendable you book in advance.
