Having just used this hotel for a weekend break i can fully recommend it ,as stated it was refurbished last year and a great job was acheived as we found the place spotlessly clean, the welcome and check in first class all staff are polite and helpfull and seem to really be enjoying their work, breakfast was fresh and plentyfull, it is ideally situated as very close to tower hill and access to all attractions only a short walk or bus ride away, it is within 25 yards of the minoriies pub which does good food and also across the road from a weatherspoons

Why do the bar areas have to be so un-inviting - brightly lit, cheap white plastic seats - the perfect excuse to go out and eat elsewhere. Good location for showing French colleague around, nice pub next door, very handy for Excel

Stayed here with my wife for two nights on our way to Brussels.Excellent location very close to Docklands Light Railway station and underground station.Good Wetherspoons pub across the road, but not to close for any noise.Excellent for breakfast as it opens at 7.30.Very good pub The Minories almost next to the hotel.Good food and cheap drinks.Railway runs along the back of the hotel, but any noise from railway was minimum.Average price for our room was about £45 a night.Very good value.Hotel is modern and clean, although I did have to replace a towel that was filthy, but no problem at the reception.I will definately stay here again next time I go to London.

Room Tip: Back of hotel backs onto railway, but very little noise.

Great location next to Tower Gateway DLR and Tower Bridge tube. rooms well sized and clean.
Bring toiletries with you as you only get a small bar of soap and shower gel is £5 from a machine in reception.
Breakfast ok but left under heat lamps which can dry it up.

Would I stay again? Yes I can see no reason not to.
