Friday 29th March and we travelled up to London and we arrived at Victoria Station. We were very early for our appointment so we walked around the area, exploring and sightseeing.

This Gothic Chuch is a short walk from the station, a little off the main streets on Cambridge Street with Warwick Square nearby.

From a distance we could see St Gabriel's Chuch Spire rise upwards on the Pimlico skyline, so we went to investigate.

The Church was constructed between 1851–3. When we visited we were unable to enter into the main Church, the main door was open, but the interior door was locked. Thankfully the inner door had a number of glass panels in it which allowed us to look in and see inside.

At the ear of the Church is the altar with a statue of the crucifixion with a large colourful stained glass window behind it.

At the sides of the pews, that strech from the main door to the altar, there a a number of marble pillars supporting the stonework arches.

Well worth taking a few minutes to locate and have a look.

Thanks for your review and we're sorry that we're not currently able to leave the church open as a matter of course, but it sounds like you enjoyed seeing the church in its fine Victorian setting nonetheless. Next time, do get in touch on the way up and we'll try and get you in!

This charming Gothic style church built in 1852-53 is one of many interesting and beautiful buildings in Pimlico. Glad we visited and appreciated learning a little of its history.

Thank you for your review - you must have been at the "Come and Sing" event held by our friends Ralph Allwood and the Rodolfus Choir. The clear acoustic is often commented on as we host a wide variety of musical events from solo recitals to full symphony orchestras. Not forgetting our wonderful choirs who sing on Sunday mornings and every Weds and Sun evenings during term time - there's a great variety of music at St Gabriel's

Ornate Anglican church in a Gothic style with a notable bell-ringing society and stained glass. Father Owen is a wonderful person, there is a welcoming community. The church is beautiful, check the mass timings and dont miss the opportunity to attend to a choral mass.

Thank you for your kind words, and for mentioning some of the features of the church and our services. We do indeed have a fine choral tradition at St Gabriel's, with sung masses on Sunday mornings and other choirs singing Evensong and Compline on Wednesdays and Sundays in term time.
