“Just a sublime experience.”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

Each time I visit this restaurant I am impressed not just by the excellence of the food, but by the absolutely impeccable service standards. Discreet, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly too. Not a hint of stuffiness that some 3 star establishments like to cultivate.
Also this is a delightfully tasteful room in which to dine. I have never understood how a noisy crowded pub can get 2 stars no matter how special the food is rated to be.
Really good value lunch hour menu that entices you in, and subsequently the extra you spend on "treats " seems insignificant. Recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys fine dining.

“Absolutely wonderful dinner!!”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

My wife and I had dinner here to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. The dinner was fantastic. We have eaten at some great restaurants but this may have been our best meal ever. We did the wine pairing and every course was impressive in appearance and taste. The service was immaculate, attentive and discreet. Just a wonderful experience. The only problem is that my wife keeps asking when will we go back!

“very nice set lunch”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

Clearly there are a variety of reviews for this venue, our experience (husband, wife and son) was good. We chose the set lunch with a variety of starters all very good and the confit of lamb main course taken by all was excellent, puddings also very good as well as the excellent chocolates etc. made for a memorable time. We have had better at other starred restaurants but this was fine.

“Great”
Reviewed May 10, 2013 via mobile

We visited for lunch and ate off the 'lunch hour' menu, which in my opinion was good value considering the setting, service, food, and all the extras.

A cracking amuse bouche, followed by 3 flawless courses and served with great wine. The treats before coffee were excellent, and a nice touch with a little bag to take away for my wife.

Would I go again? Yes. Have the lamb. Phenomenal.

Service was as you'd expect - flawless, attentive, and friendly. They couldn't do enough for you!
