“Home away from Home”

Stayed here 14/15 Jan - very nice, clean and tidy. We had the upstairs room off the kitchen and living area. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and Ray (staff) is very friendly and helpful. I particularly liked the fact that the "food" was high quality, coffee, orange juice and bread. Kitchen clean and there was an abundance of fruit. Wi-fi was great too. The other residents had coffee after we had gone to bed but they did not disturb us. A few good and comfortable home away from home, quite and discreet. i would recommend this and would defiintely use this facility again!

Room Tip: Apparently one is not ensuite to be sure and ask for an ensuite room and one room has a garden if yo...

My wife and I stayed here as we were attending a friends birthday and were very happy with our choice as it felt like we were in a home from home.

It is located a few miles north of the blackwall tunnel and there was ample parking in the roads around which is free in the evenings and at weekends. We stayed in an en-suite room at £95 per night including self-service breakfast. The room was clean and spacious with a double bed and an ensuite shower/toilet. We were shown around the communal areas and there was a lovely sofa, large TV, great kitchen. Breakfast included a choice of cereals, toast, juices, coffee machine and some sweet snacks. There was free wifi as well which was useful.

The only slight niggle is that the door to the ensuite shower/toilet was made of frosted glass and had slight gaps at the top and bottom which means there is not a lot of privacy when using the facilities.

When booked we were asked what time we would arrive so we gave a time the day before we were asked to postpone arrival on agreeing the new arrival time it was pushed back again. Not what you expect when paying £95 a night.

When we got there the guy who met us was very nice and he showed us round the communal areas all very nice with sky tv, Krups machine, breakfast stuffs, and little snacks, nice sofa and pc for the Internet and free wifi. Things started to look up.

Our room well that's were it starts to fall down although a very decent size the ensuite shower room is tiny and has a radiator that was on full blast despite it being 30 degrees outside. Room decor does not match the standards of communal areas it's all a bit dated and seems to have been done half heartedly. The rooms are not very well sound proofed as you can hear everything going on inn the communal areas in your room, not what you at 7am after a late night! Also if you leave you windows open and people are out smoking in the patio below the smoke just seems to funnel into your room.

Would probably have enjoyed our stay more if the price was more realistic around £60.

It is in a great arera though in Isllington and there is little or no competition so I guess they charging £95 cause they can.

Although not exactly what was expected from our stay it is worth looking at if you need something in the area.

Very beautiful house, good architecture. Two rooms share a bathroom, others are en-suite. There is a large living-room with computer/internet, and an beautiful large wooden table. The kitchen is equipped with dishes, and there is a self-service breakfast in the morning (you help yourself from the fridge). Incl. Nespresso. Clean. Can be a little bit complicated with the keys and the payment (as there is no person permanently present), but after a phone call/email, this is well organized and flexible. Very good value for a reasonable price.

Room Tip: Two rooms share a bathroom; one of the two en-suite rooms has a beautiful small garden with a breakf...

We took this cash-only purchase (going blindly in) because of the location, which was great for our 3 nights, 2 full days in London. Bus stop is very close and tube is somewhat close in a relatively quiet neighborhood.

After the first night, my wife (pregnant), because very congested and we attribute it to the overwhelming mold in the bathroom. The design of the bathroom is poor not allowing water to drain well, at least in our bottom floor room. After leaving the Luxury Inn a few days later her congestion cleared, so it had to be the room mold.

But on the positive side the owners are accommodating and kind, and the breakfast supplies were fairly well stocked. The price is great for the location...just wish they'd spend a bit more time on the bathroom.

Room size is good, bed is very hard. Wifi access is spotty. If you don't know how to restart a wireless modem, don't bother with the Wifi there. Printer was out of ink and paper as well.

Not trying to be over critical, these are just things that bugged me while there. Our trip was still great nonetheless.

I stayed in the Luxury Inn for one night with my partner to see a gig in Islington. I came across the Luxury Inn as I was looking at somewhere cheapish in the Islington area. Encouraged by the positive reviews on tripadvisor I booked a double room with shared bathroom. To be honest, I wasn't keen on that at all but the only ensuite was already booked. I needn't have worried as the bathroom - which was really spacious, clean and tidy - was only shared between 2 bedrooms and was dead opposite our room. Our room was small but bright and airy and had eveything you need. The double bed was very comfy and think a king size. You also got a large wardrobe, tv and dvd player (a small selection of dvds were upstairs in the comuncal area). The communal area itself was huge, again bright with nice wooden floor and big windows. You got a little well equipped kitchen (with breakfast goods for free), a big table, free use of the internet, a large sofa and another TV. All was in great condition and well looked after. THe best bit though was the welcome we got - you really got that home from home feel.
We'd definitely stay again and I can only recommend the place.

This was the second time I have stayed at the Luxury Inn. First time, I chose it because of the location - 15 mins walk to the Angel but also because of affordable parking.
There are lots of hotels / guest houses in North London to choose from at similar prices but the cost to park your car is exhorbitant!!! Not so at the Luxury Inn where you can buy a permit to park in the street outside the front door.

My second stay was pretty much like the first. A warm welcome and a clean, well appointed room with free wireless internet connection.

The Luxury Inn will be my first option from now on when I'm travelling to London.
