Having experienced quite a few city hotels to be poor value for money my expectations were not high, but this hotel was just perfect! The location could not be better- close to everything yet quiet, the heartily service made us feel like royalties, and the quality of the facilities was spotless. We were lucky to be upgraded to a jr suite, and I would strongly consider to book this next time- separate sitting area, kitchen corner, wonderful bed, large bathroom with both bath tub and shower and great amenities. We did not lack anything- just a pity we didn't have time to spend more time in our hotel!

Room Tip: Junior suite was great (304)

On the plusside:Great location, nice room, comfortable bed (exept from the pillows) nice and friendly staff.

BUT, the breakfast was expensive and and not worth the money, we had a better breakfast, just a short walk from the hotel, for half the price. The people who worked in the restaurant (at breakfast) was not that serviceminded as the rest of the staff. They had a complicated menu that was not quite easy to understand. They had recently changed it and we noticed that they were tired of explaining how it works. There were a few misunderstandings and we could tell that they were whispering behind our backs...

In the room, we were missing a hook to hang up our coats.

One of our five rooms wasn't ready when we arrived (15.00 PM) and we had to wait for an hour or so.

Loved this hotel. Great location walking distance to Oxford street and the subway. The hotel staff is very friendly, especially Adam who really went out of his way to make sure our stay was comfortable. I stayed on the fourth floor the room was well decorated and the beds and linen very comfortable. The room service was very efficient. I did not dine at the restuarant but the menu looked impressive and at the time they were offering 20% off the food bill for hotel guests. There are plenty good restuarants within walking distance. I can't find any fault with this hotel. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely return.

I love this hotel, it's small, discrete, friendly and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. It is spotlessly clean and the bathroom is fabulous. Location is fabulous, far enough away from the business of marylebone high street to be quiet, but actually a very short walk from anywhere. I try to stay here whenever I can. I'm not sure if the people who are expecting a huge room have stayed in many central london hotels

The smallest too ever, couldn't open wardrobe, as the only place to store the suitcase was in front of the wardrobe door. The suitcase rested on the bed, as there was no room! Other rooms are more expensive and bigger, but a five star hotel should e that fir all room types. No space to put the kettle, the hairdryer etc, it was logistical nightmare.

Staff stood in the lounge area gossiping and moaning. Concierge guy was overbearing with info.

The re emotion guy was the only saving grace, a very polite and helpful man.

Found this hotel using LateRooms - I did reject the offer of the first room they gave me - one on the ground floor next door to the disabled toilet in the lobby, but the replacement on the fifth floor was a very suitable second offer.

Stayed last night for one night, and was very pleasantly surprised - fantastic central location, helpful and smiley staff... the hotel is spotlessly clean - and both rooms and bathrooms passed my inspection with flying colours! Had a wonderful night's sleep in some really lovely bed linen.

Will definitely be back here when I need to stay in London.

Room Tip: Several other reviewers have commented on noisy rooms, I suggest you go for one on 4th or 5th floor.
