“Best Hotel in London”

No. Ten Manchester Street is a boutique hotel, very affordable for London. Great food, great rooms and beautifully decorated. It is also quiet despite it's ideal location.

I had booked a superior queen room for a saturday night in London before departing for a holiday. When we checked in we were upgraded to a suite which was a delightful surprise. The suite was excellent, a most comfortable bed, an excellent bathroom, and a lounge area. A great way to start a holiday. We elected to have dinner in the restaurant and had a most enjoyable meal at a very reasonable price. We also had breakfast before departing which was also excellent although probably one of the most expensive continental breakfasts ever at £17.50 per head - however I would not fault the quality or the service. As we were leaving the restaurant the receptionist asked us what our plans were for the day and on discovering that we were going to the airport arranged a car for us and organised our bill whilst we were packing so that we were not delayed. Altogether the service provided by all the staff at this hotel was exceptional. They were all very pleasant and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. As a retired hotel owner I am generally critical of hotels that I stay in but cannot fault this hotel and would recommend it to anyone. Congratulations to the management and staff for their efforts.

I desperately wanted to love this hotel. The decor is stunning - really lovely colours and very chic. It has a lovely feel to it and the staff were very friendly. The location is great - very central and within easy walking distance of a number of attractions. The room itself was nice, clean and a good size. The trouble was the food - it was terrible! I couldn't finish my meal - it was the most tasteless, dry food I've ever had. I said this when our plates were cleared, yet there was no mention of a discount and a £5 service charge added insult to injury. The bed was very comfy but unfortunately, the night we stayed was really windy and the windows rattled terribly. Even with the double glazing, which cut out all the road noise, couldn't cut out the rattling. At check out, there seemed to be no urgency about processing people's bills - we ended up going for breakfast rather than wait but there was still a queue when we went back later. I might stay there again (for the great location) but would look for a deal and definitely would not eat there!
I'm maybe being a bit harsh marking this as "average" but it wasn't "very good". It's probably fairer to say it was good but could be better.

Stayed here for one night on an advance payment special rate. Room was a little on the small side (was a single admittedly) but immaculately clean, great bathrooom and the most comfortable bed i have slept in in a long time. Location for Selfridges, Marylebone high street, Bond street is perfect.
Would definitely go back again.

If you are looking for a newly modernised building with a comfortable bed and all the usual qualities of a well-run hotel, then go for one of the recent "boutique" hotels - of which this is a good example. On this (our second) visit, we were surprised at the level of service that the staff are now providing - something that such hotels don't usually do. We did not dine in the restaurant so cannot comment on the food but the breakfast was excellent and service friendly. The location - very easy walk to west-end shops - is the icing on the cake.

Elegant hotel in quiet street. Excellent location for West End shopping, Regent's Park etc. Price probably what one has to pay for this quality/location/amenity. A problem (intermittant noise in room) took some time to solve, partly owing to its vagueness but, once recognized, received full attention, and an acceptable solution, from pleasant, helpful staff. Would certainly stay again.
