My husband and I went to London in April 2014. Our stay at The Harrington serviced apartments was very comfortable. The unit we got was very spacious and very we'll laid out for 40 sq meters. The room was quiet, airy and the bed was super comfy and clean. The open plan kitchen was complete and the living room was big enough to accommodate our friends who dropped by (and wished they had booked at the same place).

It was also great that the apartment was just a minute walk away from the Gloucester tube station and was close to many good restaurants! a hardware and even a pharmacy.

We couldn't ask for anything more to make our stay more comfortable and restful.

The only request we would make is for the hotel to accommodate requests for a late check out.

Thanks to all the kind and efficient staff at The Harrington !

Room Tip: Get room 102.its quiet yet airy

It was a pleasure for the whole team to read this review and see that all of their effort is so much appreciated. Our thanks to these guests for the review.

It is firmly our aim for our guests to consider The Harrington their home from home in central London, so a review which says that we checked all of the boxes in that way could not be more welcome, although, of course, we are not complacent or resting on our laurels.

All of the team fully appreciate that reviews like these come from a concerted effort on their behalf and the team are all on board to put in the effort that results in more reviews like this one.

In the meantime, we very much look forward to welcoming these clients back to The Harrington again soon.

I and my dad stay in a one bedroom apartment for 6 days. We had room 402 which is on the 4th floor. The room is spacious. The furniture is fine...not too old like other reviews except one pillow on the sofa. Scary looking....I think they better trash it and leave only 2 of them which are new. My room is rather quiet except when the neighbor is in their room. I can hear when they use hair dryer! The lift is way too small and too slow. It can accomodate only 1 people and 2 luggages.

I like the location of the apartment..very near to Gloucester Rd. Tube station. However, be aware that you still have to carry your luggage to climb up the stair...it is not a step-free station.

Overall, I am satisfied with my stay. Price is rather expensive but it is way better than staying in the hotel.

Our thanks to this guest for a review which will be very helpful to all clients considering a stay at The Harrington or in the area.

With regards to Gloucester Road station, it may be helpful to mention that this is basically step free from the Piccadilly Line (which runs in from London Heathrow) but, I fully agree, is not from the Circle and District Lines.

Naturally, we were delighted to know that these guests enjoyed their stay. We appreciate the comment on the sofa and have already acted on that. When comparing rates, it is worth bearing in mind that an apartment like 402 (a One Bedroom Apartment) is 42 square meters in size, whilst a typical 4* London hotel room is around 22 square meters and, of course, our serviced apartments include many more facilities. So, it is not simply a price but a value choice.

Our thanks again for the review and we very much look forward to welcoming these guests back to The Harrington again soon.

First impression was really good - from the check-in and from the first view of the room. We were given the basement studio room - and while during the day it felt really comfortable and good sized; it was at night when we tried to get some sleep when the problems became more apparent.

The studio was in the basement, and right under the adjacent restaurant... Hence the noise was unbearable at night, with every movements of chairs and people stomping upstairs in restaurants filtering through to the room. It was noisy too as the conversations and voices were clearly heard... It only ended eventually around 1am.

We also had problems with the hot water supply - it was very, very slow to warm up - took about 7 minutes (yes, I did time it!) to get a useful supply of hot water for us to shower. On the first morning we even had to shower in another room - as we had to get ready early and there were no signs of the maintenance engineer around the place, even at 8.30am. We were not told that it can take the shower more than 5 minutes to get a proper hot water supply!

However, we cannot fault the cleanliness nor the size of the room - was brilliant as it allowed our son to enjoy the room as it felt very much like home. Also, it was very conveniently located within 100 metres from the Gloucester Road tube station.

So, my review is a bit mixed - but if you were ever to book here, DO make sure you avoid the basement studio!!

Room Tip: Avoid the basement like mad!! Unless you are a party animal and would only come back to the room aft...

My thanks to this reviewer for a very frank review.

Firstly, the studio apartment these guests occupied is the only one on the Lower Ground Floor which is below the restaurant and the only one which suffers from a plumbing problem which involves a long wait for hot water. It is clear from the review that, had this known issue been mentioned at check in, it would have been much less of a concern to the guest and we have learned that lesson.

That said, we were delighted to know that these guests enjoyed their stay in respect of the size of the apartment, cleanliness and so on - all very important points to all of our guests.

We very much hope to welcome these guests back to The Harrington again soon, when they would have the chance to experience a different apartment.

Stayed here with my son for 3 days in room 201 last week while he was doing a course.
Pros: good sized rooms, well equipped kitchen, everything very clean, really close to Tube station and many restaurants and cafes, helpful staff
Cons: a little tired- bathroom had some peeling plaster, scratched wood floors and walls could use a new coat of paint, nasty smell of drains in the kitchen, quite a lot of traffic noise given it's location on busy Gloucester Rd and fairly busy Harrington Gardens

In summary, I would stay here again for the location but there may be better options in the area.

Room Tip: Perhaps the rooms not facing Harrington Gardens are quieter?

Many thanks indeed to this guest fro taking the time to review The Harrington. Naturally, we are very happy to know that, in most respects, this guest so enjoyed her stay.

As relatively new owners of the property, we do have a plan to refurnish and repaint all of the apartments during the course of this Summer, following the completion of the refurbishment of the Lobby and other common areas.

I was very sorry to hear of the point about the kitchen and did, of course, check that that had been acted on immediately after reading the review a few days ago.

Once again, my thanks for this review and we very much hope to have the opportunity to show this guest that our normal and future standards are very much better in the aspects mentioned.

I have been coming to the Harrington nearly every week for the past 2 months and I have always found the service and accommodation standards to be second to non. Many thanks to the team there. The recent renovations have given the reception area a lovely and classy feel, whilst remaining welcoming.

I am very grateful to this regular guest for her review and delighted to see that she continues to enjoy her visits to The Harrington as much as ever.

It is very good to know that the refurbished Lobby is so well appreciated and to see that the steps we have taken to raise the standards of guest service are coming through again and again in reviews from first time and regular guests.

My sincere thanks for this guest for taking the time to review her stay at The Harrington and we look forward to welcoming her back here again very soon.

recently visited London for a few days of personal time and work. Decided this time to stay in a different part of the city then usual. Found this location on Trip Advisor and thought it sounded nice. In the end it was beyond nice, it was excellent. Very nice flat that was well appointed. Close to significant Tube Line and top notch museum in short walking distance. The 5 nights stay was much better than a traditional hotel stay and value for value. Will not hesitate to stay here and in this area again given the commuting convenience. Staff were very friendly and helpful as well rounding out the stay.

Think of this location for your next visit to London!

Our thanks to this guest for taking the time to review his stay at The Harrington and it is a pleasure for the whole team to know that he so much enjoyed it.

Location is a very often repeated high point of staying at The Harrington, so I rarely pick up on it when replying, but it is one of the most important considerations when choosing where to stay in central London. There are few areas of London which better combine easy travel to everywhere else in central London along with an almost village-like feel.

I have passed along the comment about the staff to all of the team and it is very rewarding for them all to know that the quality of service here contributed to well to this guest's stay.

We stayed from Saturday 29th until Monday 31st March. Check-in is clean and welcoming. We had booked a studio, but got a one bed apartment. There was plenty of space and the cooking facilities are good. There was plenty of space to sit in the living/dining area for ourselves and our son, who stayed for a meal on both nights as he lives in London. Very convenient for bus/tube, local shops, pubs etc.
Okay, there was some water damage on part of the ceiling that could have been painted over and the shower is a bit small, but really can't complain. Would certainly use again.

Room Tip: Great for couples

My sincere thanks to these guests for taking the time to review The Harrington.

This review is especially helpful as it highlights many of the advantages - from actually practical experience and not our own sales pitch - of choosing a serviced apartment over a cramped hotel room. The facilities and space are much greater and the opportunity to cook meals and entertain simply do not exist in a hotel.

Our apologies for the water damage mentioned and this has, of course, since been re-painted as a part of our on-going maintenance schedule.

We very much look forward to welcoming these guests back to The Harrington again very soon.
