“It's just a hostel really”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2013

The guy in reception was in a bad mood and did not want to be there. There were hairs on the bed. The room was like a dungeon, in a basement with no windows.

The shower was very good though to be fair and the room was really cheap (£50 per night) so you get what you pay for, and the bus went from right outside the 'hotel' or whatever it is supposed to be.

It is really a hostel with private rooms though.

It was grand for what we paid. we only wanted somewhere to put our stuff safely and somewhere to sleep anyway.

i visited this place during the olympics of 2012. Firstly, I would say that the pictures can be really deceptive and don't believe in what you see.The rooms are not big and neither is the bathroom but after a few minutes of absorbing the shock, the room can actually grow on you The hotel is in South of london, which is considered the shady area but i found it to be extremely pleasant. The transportation is really good for there is a bus stop just 15 steps away from the hotel, from where you can easily get to central london or stations like Euston. And there is an overground station situated a km or 2 km away from the hotel and a train after every hour leaves for this station from victoria station. You can catch a bus outside from the Peckham rye station that drops you in front of the hotel. so, the transport is really easy and the staff is friendly too. You just have to voice your complaints in order for them to pay some heed. If you are not in search for some luxurious hotels with lots of facilities in this amount then this is a very nice place to stay. Just do a lot of sight seeing and then use this place to rest your aching feet, you would actually find it highly comforting and worthy. And a final advice to the tourist is to stay alert and be sure to be back in hotel by 11 pm. So, be early risers and enjoy the magic of the city.

Room Tip: rooms on the first floor in the back building are the best.

The room wasn't much bigger than the bed that was in it - how did they get it there is a good question :) But we liked the place. It was tidy, quite modern, cleaned every day, and the price was very good. The breakfast wasn't much, and in the mornings there would be quite a large queue so you could actually skip it for a breakfast later in the city. The ride by bus is about 40 mintues to the centre from what I remember.

Shower was good, the water went away slow though. We almost had an exclusive swimming pool in the bathroom. The room is big enough for 2 people if you're only using it for the night. So in our case it was good. Everyday the cleaner came by so that was nice. The only bad thing was the smell. in the hallway it smells like catpiss so we sprayed deo all the way. The place was nice and buses nearby.

This hotel could have been good but it smells very bad in the room. So I'm sorry but this is a 1/5 rating. In addition, the card that permit to enter in the room doesn't work correctly and you have to go to the reception in order that they load the number of your room inside the card again (and they make no verification, you can give the number you want and then enter in the room of the hotel you want...).
