Didn't believe that Chinese/Taiwanese food could be so bland. The only thing worse than the food was the service, it made the old Wong Kei seem first class, but at least Wong Kei had novelty value, the staff here lacked any saving graces.

No sooner had the first plate of fatty pork in a tasteless sauce been plonked on our table than they asked us to settle the bill as they wanted to cash up. They then proceeded to count cash and till receipts etc on the table next to us. They then began putting chairs on tables and mopping the floor around us.

Never again.

In London to see the Jersey Boys and wandered around to find a place to have lunch. Found this great small but authentic Chinese restaurant and loved the notion that you had to knock on the door to be allowed in! Luck to get seated straight away but there was soon a queue of people on the stairs waiting to be seated. The food here is just fantastic and bill meant it was also good value - Kung Po Chicken and Prawns, Salt and Pepper Chicken, Noodles and Rice dishes. Does not look much from the outside but well worth knocking on their door.

Had a really bad dinner there last week. Server didn't take the order well but was then arrogant enough to place the blame on customers. Food was so so. As others have said, plenty of nicer places in Chinatown. Don't bother.

We were taken to this restaurant by some local dumpling-lovers. The place was busy. We were placed on the 1st floor (the 1st and 2nd floors are much bigger and better-looking than the ground floor). We were 5 people and ordered many different dishes which all came at different times - this is the Taiwanese way to serve and eat dinner and we didn't mind it at all, it was a new experience. The food was very good and a tad different than any Chinese food we'd ever had. It's not the place to go if you want to eat in a quiet, calm environment, but the place to go if you want to eat a variation of small tasty dishes in a authentic, busy charming environment.

The presentation of the food looked not bad but tasted horrible and the portions were very small and over salted.

It is tiny space inside, so don't be fooled by the queue outside.
