“Convenient and comfortable option near Paddington Station”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2014

For a long time the only option for those desiring an international standard hotel at Paddington Station has been the somewhat tired and rather overpriced Hilton. The Hotel Indigo is only a few minutes walk from the station - quite feasible even with luggage - and the rooms are of a very high standard, particularly given the price.

The room decor is modern, though the mural behind the bed is a stylized representation of the iron girders from the Victorian era Paddington Station itself. As the hotel is comprised of a series of Victorian townhouses if I had been decorating the place, I would probably have gone for something a little more reflective of the period and a little less jarringly modern, but it didn't stop me enjoying a good night's sleep.

As you'd expect in central London, especially at the relatively affordable rates that this property charges, the rooms are not large, and the bathrooms are not for the claustrophobic. As such, the hotel is fine for a one or two night stay, but I probably wouldn't stay longer.

The English breakfast in the cafe-bar on the ground floor was decent, although the coffee left a bit to be desired.

Staff were uniformly helpful and friendly.

Would definitely use this property again if I needed to be in the area.

Room Tip: I had a street-facing room and street noise wasn't a problem, though I was there on a Sunday nig...

There is nothing I can complaint about.... absolutely nothing at all. The experience was amazing from minute one when we stepped in the hotel and stood at the reception area. We were given a beautiful room, champagne, mini bar, chocolates and fruits. Breakfast was also very good, tasty and served in large portions.

The location is also superb; just 1 minute away if not less from Paddington Station and located near nice bars and surroundings.

This is a small and original/modern hotel full of the best quality.

However, the most outstanding feature of it all was..... the staff. Incredible people who make you feel comfortable and welcome at all times. Well -done to all of you guys. And.... thank you very much !

I would repeat a MILLION times.

Having booked a weekend theatre break with Capital Breaks and discovered the hotel allocated was a stinky horrible cramped hole, we booked in here.

We've stayed many times in Glasgow and Edinburgh and have been hugely impressed by the quality of the rooms and the attention to detail. No different in Paddington. Very friendly front desk staff and a bright and clean operation. Yummy breakfast and nothing left to chance in the rooms, we were glad to have found this hotel.

Our TV wasn't working, and although the very friendly man on the from desk got us a picture on the Friday night, Saturday viewing was a non-starter.

Fabby.

Room Tip: We had a twin down in the basement away from the main drag. Very quiet apart from a noisy boiler whi...

Superb boutique hotel within walking distance of Paddington station. (Part of the Intercontinental Hotels group). As a IHG Platinum member I was given a room upgrade and a nice welcome gift.

The rooms are comfy, not too large but well designed so you don't feel at all cramped. The bathroom was lovely with a nice heated towel rail and a fantastic shower. Just what I needed to get over my hangover.

Bed was very comfortable, you do sometimes get a little noise from the street (this is London after all!) but the hotel give you ear plugs which I thought was a nice touch.

The hotel is a great base for exploring west London and indeed the west of England with Paddington being next door.

The restaurant looked great but I did not have time to try it on this occasion, will have to leave that for next time.

Stayed 5 days with zero complaints. Rooms are better defined as "cozy" but not small. Staff was always nice. Hotel common areas and rooms were very clean. Short tube ride to most sights. Very convenient if using Heathrow Express- just a short walk from Paddington.

Rooms had all niceties including complimentary soft drinks, tea, coffee, in room safe, towel warmer, among others. Free WiFi which is great.

Highly recommended for either the business or pleasure traveler.

Stayed one night in this hotel whilst doing some theatre and leisure visits. It is very close to Paddington Station and convenient for the Underground trains.
The room was comfortable, clean and quiet if a little small. The staff were very polite and helpful.
I would recommend the Indigo to anyone wanting a convenient, pleasant hotel, especially it you are travelling up from the west!

The hotel is only 2 minutes from Paddington station and very central both for tube lines and heatrow express. The layout and design of the hotel is very good. The staff is friendly and supportive. Breakfest was good.
The rooms are typical London size. The area has a limited number of restaurants but thats ok. The nearest pub was a nice place.
Would recommend this hotel for business stay.

Room Tip: Aviod rooms in the basement and on the 4th floor.
