“Needs improvements but good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2013 via mobile

Have a great experience, such fine blend of taste and wine to go with it. Totally enjoyable. Improvements can be made in our main course. Both our main course was warm not hot though I was waited to get my glass of red wine to enjoy my sirloin don't think it was lpng enough for the food to be luke warm. Other than that it was good but could have been excellent. Next was the service hence waiting to order wine for my main and asking to be topped up a few times. The service fee is over 12% with a bill that's over £200 for 2 you expect the best in everything. This is not to say its not good but they could be excellent. Service charge like this that's makes my bill over £260 I would be expecting the BEST. This is not to say I would not go back but this is what I would like to see improved when I go back again : ).

“Delicious without being over pretentious”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2013

Booked lunch at Murano after visiting London to see Robbie Williams in concert at Wembley.
After the noise, hustle and bustle of Wembley the night before, this was a welcome oasis of calm.
Beautifully decorated, minimalistic with a feminine touch.
Welcomed with cold meats, a selection of breads (the focaccia was the best either of us had tasted anywhere), olives and smoked aubergine pate - all delicious.
We opted for the reasonably priced set lunch menu with three or four choices for each course - each one with a vegetarian option - something often excluded by many London based Michelin restaurants.
Each course was totally delicious without being pretentious - all packed with flavours - welcome amuse bouche and palate cleansers
The desserts - marinated raspberries and gooseberry tart were memorable.
Restaurant was busy - a good sign that on a Wednesday lunchtime Angela is filing her restaurant with welcome diners.
Would recommend to anyone looking for good, reasonably priced, quality food in central London from a Michelin star restaurant.

“Wonderfully tasty food and fabulous wines”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2013

We booked an evening meal organised by the AA, which was a set menu with wines and the chance to meet Angela Harnett herself (apparently it was very quickly sold out, so we were glad we booked promptly) – this being our first visit to the Murano restaurant.

The restaurant is situated in Mayfair, just a few minutes’ walk from Green Park tube station and was very easy to find. We received a very warm welcome and were seated in at a window table. It was nice to be provided with water whilst we waited (we were a bit early) and the restaurant soon filled up with other diners. Our starters with a lightly sparkling wine, main course with a red wine and pudding with a sweet wine were presented beautifully and served very well – following the short presentation of the menu from Angela Hartnett and her sommelier. The tastes were just fantastic and during our meal Angela visited all tables to chat with us and our companions, very enjoyable and followed by a visit to the kitchens to see “how things were done”. We finished with coffee (or tea) and petit fours, and this brought our thoroughly wonderful evening to an end.

It was perfectly presented food, with fabulous taste served well and politely – and pretty good value, bearing in mind the numerous glasses of wine that were included in the price. Looking at the other set menus; I am sure we will revisit the Murano and based on this experience I am happy to recommend to all – a truly top class experience which I am happy to give a 5 star rating.

“Murano is first for flavour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2013

Angela Hartnett's attention to detail continues to fill me with admiration! The service is friendly and polished, the ambience relaxing and cool and the food is beautifully presented and packed with flavour. The set lunch menu is exceptional value, but the a la carte has so many delicious dishes you become spoilt for choice. A vivid green risotto was scrumptious, the turbot and John Dory were perfectly cooked and presented, and the desserts delectable. Go there!

“Excellent Service and Beautiful Plating”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2013

This restaurant is located in Mayfair. The menu offers your choice of two, three or four courses all at different prices. We found the food to be exciting with unusual ingredients which worked well. The presentation of each course was beautiful and a joy to look at. The servers were all very cordial, but a couple of them were not British and very hard to understand when they explained the courses to you. You hated to have to ask them to repeat themselves. This is a gourmet restaurant perfect for romance or special occasions.
