I've been to Murano a few times and it impresses less on each occasion. This is a 'Mediterranean' menu, so a bit of this and a bit of that but mostly Italian influenced as you would expect from the name. The food itself is not as remarkable as it should be considering the owner's reputation. Service is at the fussy end of the scale and last time uncomprehending with a French waiter with less English than ideal. Thankfully amuse guèles fill in the space that the food never will. I'm talking really small portions dictated by large designer plates with a small space left for food. Not a problem were it not for the huge cost of a very tricksy menu. It's a shame since the ambience is elegant and comfortable. Expect to pay £100+ per head for a minimal gastronomic event
