If your looking for somewhere quick to pop into for a spot of lunch whilst site seeing, then this is a great place to try. Starters are basic but flavoursome and the service is warm and welcoming. Lunch for two, which included the soup, the chicken pate, the steak sandwich with twice cooked chips and two halves of shandy came to under £30. Booking definitely recommended, as even on a Sunday the place had a pleasant buzz to it and not many tables to spare. Overall, great place, great location, very nice food.

Ended up here on the way to the train so did not know what to expect. It's huge but the room divisions makes it cozy enough. One big drawback was the dented restrooms in the basement

We dropped in to St Katherine's Dock after a visit to the Tower of London. The Dickens is a pub which I remember from the late 70's in the last century, but it hasn't changed.
A great pub with helpful staff. Very relaxed and laid back. The food was non-adventurous, but wholesome and good quality.
My only critism was that it was very cold outside and unfortunately a door to the outside which was not being used, was constantly blowing open when closed. Very annoying.
It must be a great place in the spring and summer.

As other reviewers have said, this large 3 storey building overlooking the scenic St. Katherine's Dock, so it's worth a visit if you fancy some traditional pub grub.

Serves a reasonable pint although I would have preferred some more imaginative offerings rather than staple big brand names on the pumps.

My partner had a burger and chips which at just under £10 was good value and in line with what you'd expect in any pub in the South East. My chicken and mushroom pie with chips was very nice but a bit pricey at £14. Drink prices were what you would expect.

The atmosphere is nice, we were on the 3rd floor and the menu should have something for everyone. The service was very good and one waiter in particular was very helpful and did his job with a spring in his step.

I would imagine that in the summer the outside scenery makes it an even better place to enjoy your meal!

I'd go back.

Great pub to go into for a few drinkies - a good buzzy atmosphere. A basic, not wildly exciting, menu choice is offered in the pub although there is a pizza place upstairs (it's a huge place and quite attractive from the outside).
