“Big fun, but...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2013 via mobile

There are a million good clubs and other party-venues in London. But there's only one Mahiki. To be honest, it's not easy to get in - don't show up too late, dress sharp and you won't have much trouble to get in. What you can expect: drunk rich kids, spending daddy's cash, snotty bouncers and overpriced drinks (even by London stadards). Still there is one upside, if you want to run into Prince Harry or Beyonce you might want to go there. Chances are good, that a concert's afterparty takes place here. And hey, thats part of the fun, right? Recomended to patient people who want to spent the money they saved on the EasyJet flight!

“Don't bother unless you arrive outside in a Bentley”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 26, 2013

When you spend weeks planning a birthday night out, you speak to the venue numerous times and are assured over and over again that you DO NOT need to make a reservation you do not expect to get turned away at the door by some snotty nosed woman and told that you will not be able to get in because there are "too many" people standing at the bar.... To spend hours getting ready, then get turned away clearly because we were not their sort of people was a disgrace (especially as no one was queuing and no one went in the door in a 20 minute period). If you only let a certain type of person in then be clear about that on the phone, don't give people any expectation that they may get in when they clearly won't..... They were even unable to suggest one single pub/club nearby that would be open.....

It turns out that just round the corner is a club called Babble, full of normal people having a good time who didn't look like they had a constant bad smell under their nose.

Mahiki, you don't deserve the half decent reputation you had until tonight. You may serve good cocktails, but the woman on the door deserves a kick in the teeth for lying and generally being a stuck up cow.

“poor service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

On a weekend visit to London for someone's 30th we had arrange to go here and booked a table well in advance after been told the table would be £500 minimum spend which we agreed to at no point it was mention there was no point to booking as the girl on the door refuses on whim. on arrival the door staff were polite and said to wait for the hostess who turned up and said we needed to book so we said we had but she said we had not upon showing her the email confirmation she proceeded to say it was a £500 minimum spend which again we said was fine she finally said we would not be getting in that night. So people be aware booking is a waste of time have other plans to go somewhere else or better still just go somewhere else and take the hassle out of the night. lucky the may fair arranged something else for us when we arrived back at the hotel so the night was not wasted.

“Fun experience”

This is a great night out if you're willing to splash out. A bit of fun if you're travelling to London for the evening - the treasure chest cocktails are pretty awesom!

“My favourite place in London”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2013

I adore Mahiki! I don't know whether it's the smell of paradise as you walk in or the unique tastes of every cocktail - I love it!

Be prepared to spend though if you want to make the most of your night (and their bar!)
