“Yuk...”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2012

The barmaid was beautifully pleasant and helpful so we felt we were onto a winner... We ordered some food and our initial thoughts were completely fashed, my husband ordered the fishcakes and I ordered the open king prawn sandwich. The fishcakes had probably been cooked a few times as they were dark brown in colour instead of a nice crisp golden hue, they rested on a soggy bed of rocket which has been soaked in dressing. My sandwich was a slice of brown bread, unbuttered, with a lettuce leaf on top and five/six small prawns on top of that, no dressing, I thought open sandwiches, especially prawn, would at least have had a marie rose sauce and some lemon, we had a side order of chips which were also overcooked. This food was so awful we left without eating it. The worst pub food I have ever been served in my life. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

“Traditional London Pub”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2012

Fine if you want to wet your whistle, but not really the kind of place you'd visit if you are the sort of person to read these kind of reviews.

“Not the best....but maybe just a bad day”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2012

We were directed to this pub by a doorman at Harrods and therefore had high hopes. Our first 2 choices to order drinks were unavailable and our first 3 choices to order food were unavailable. What we finally had to eat and drink was just OK. Maybe just a bad day, but with in a city with so many choices, we felt we choose poorly. Visited April 20, 2012.

“Good Easter Lunch at this nice Pub”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2012

On Easter Sunday, after mass at Westminister Cathedral, decided to go and visit Harrod's only to discover that it was closed since it was Easter!

Since it was by now time for lunch we stumbled upon this pub which was offering the traditional Sunday Roast and decided to give it a try.

After finding a table ( we were four ) we were informed to order our food and drinks at the bar, pay for them, and wait for our food to be served.

Food was served within 15 minutes; it was quite good but not special. Service was very good and overall price reasonable. Wouldn't mind eating there again on our next trip to London.

“We all love the food.”

Lamb pie with a sauce very strong, great.
All dishes were good.
The proprietress served us very well, with typical good humor of London.
