“Very poor customer service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 16, 2013

Went to the restaurant in Victoria's Wilton Street where we've been many times before. We were surprised to have the drinks plonked on the edge of the table by a waitress who was obviously not at all trained in customer service. Then, worse still, our order came without the side orders. The waitress just said 'Sorry, I forgot' and walked away. We called her back to enquire how long they would be and when she said '10 minutes' we decided we would not proceed with the meal. What is the point of waiting 10 minutes while the main course gets cold. The manageress came over and instead of offering a solution, implied that we were making a fuss about nothing, saying it was 'just a small mistake'. Having been customers of this restaurant chain for some years, we will certainly think twice before risking having another evening spoilt.

“lunch in covent garden”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 6, 2013

We liked the atmosphere, excellent service, fresh, organic menu with interesting choices. It is possible to have a relaxing lunch and not too noisy in the middle of Covent Garden piazza at a busy time of the year.

“Very average”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2013

I had high hopes here, read great things in magazines etc but honestly, the prices are high for average food, terrible service and long waits. Yes their bread is amazing and they specialise in this, but I would recommend you try other artisan bread places where your custom will be appreciated and the food better prepared.

“Too expensive”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2013

Too expensive for what it is. Why go to a Belgian mega-chain when there are so many lovely local bakeries in London?

“Slightly overrated ”

We stopped off here for a coffee - the customer service wasn't great. Pastries and food looked nice but we had already eaten so we didn't try them.
