We came across Kokeb when my partner and I were trying to find a great Ethiopian restaurant in London. That was about a year ago. Since then we have been back almost every week or at least every second week to get our fix. Its a little out of the way but worth it, without a doubt, although it is only a 3 min walk from Caledonian Rd tube stop.
Starting with the hostess Geti...She is a true gem. So nice and hospitable. She is only too happy to help you with first timer selections or regular dinners tough choices. And then she is off out the back to cook.
As far as choice goes there is a wide variety on the menu to contemplate and plenty of choice in vegetarian dishes as well. What ever you do make sure you try the injera with you dishes.
Yes there are not a lot of wine choices but the wine is fine. I actually find that beer goes much better in any case.
Regardless of your choice I am sure you will enjoy it and like me will be popping that top button undone before you leave.
