Booked champagne afternoon tea as part of a birthday long weekend visit to London for my wife and the experience really lived up to expectations and more. A great balance of quality and professionalism in luxuriously comfortable surroundings without any hint of pompousness from any of the management or staff. Once you have booked your table it is yours for a minimum of an hour and three quarters so no pressure to leave and a seemingly endless supply of finger sandwiches, cakes, scones etc. means you can eat as much as you like during that time. Expensive but certainly worth doing as a special treat.

Had a special birthday treat visit to The Promenade for an Afternoon Tea experience. Although something very different to the norm it was a delight and a pleasure to dress up and go to experience the wonders of the high life.
Not worthy of the cost of what gets eaten but you pay for impeccable service and attention, the ambiance and setting. Everything was exquisite. We were not rushed and treated very nicely by a number of staff attending. The cakes were not the bestest things ever tasted - maybe that was just our preferences, but all were very nice. The lady on the next table was offered gluten free etc and variation to suit her needs.
Chose this from a lot of research and was happy with the decision. Can't see anywhere else beating what we had.
Unfortunately wont be rushing back too soon but hope to do so 1 day.

Went with our daughter for afternoon tea to celebrate her 21st birthday. Had a wonderful time from the moment we arrived and must begin by mentioning our waitress Maria who was lovely and looked after us throughout helping to make our visit perfect. The food was delicious and plentiful and Katie was presented with a birthday cake complete with candles as the pianist played Happy Birthday. That was such a kind and thoughtful act and very much appreciated. Thanks to everyone for making our visit so special and memorable.

I took my partner for afternoon tea in the spatisserie as part of his birthday celebrations. The spatisserie was separate from the main section where people would eat which I knew he'd prefer, being a quieter location. It was very calming and relaxing. We enjoyed our champagne and teas, the scones, and the cakes. I also arranged a small chocolate cake for my partner which the ladies brought out with a little candle and rose petals, they also sang which we found really sweet. It was a lovely touch and they even iced Happy Birthday on it for him. It was a truly wonderful experience and we shall be attending many more teas there.

If you only do this once you must have tea at The Dorchester Hotel. We were a party of 15 for a special occasion (separate tables but as close together as they could make possible so no problem). Our charming waiter Tariq was very attentive and for such a large group everything was extremely efficient especially as it was very busy that day possibly more so because it was the Bafta awards and a few celebrities were spotted. Although everything was very dainty as you would expect it just kept coming, sandwiches, then scones and the mini cakes which by then we were really struggling with but all beautifully presented. A big selection of teas and if you make a wrong choice they quite happily bring you another. The Promenade is beautiful, nice atmosphere and not at all 'stuffy'. The highlight was being presented with a lovely little cake and candle which was a lovely gesture. Another thing was that we didn't feel rushed at all so thank you to all concerned for making a special day extra special.
