We booked the set meal for £35 to see whether we would like the restaurant. The room was very attractive, light and airy with plenty of space between the tables. The service started well but gradually deteriorated, failing to refill glasses of white wine from a bottle and to produce an extra glass of red wine at all. The main course was cleared away before one of our party had finished eating! All four of us agreed that the food was good without being outstanding, in fact my navarin of lamb would have been better if the food had been hot, which it was not. We would probably try the set meal again to see if we were unlucky but it did not compare with a similar set meal at the Orrery recently, which could not be faulted.
