Went here with Mum and Son + his girlfriend who has food intolerences. This was our Xmas gift to each other. Welcome, food, service, waiters, sommelier perfect. Only one small point to an otherwise perfect lunch. Although our food intolerences had been dealt with professionally throughout the meal, when it came to the little sweet treats at the end of the meal mango jellies and marzipan favours were placed together on a pate in front of our nut allergy sufferer. She therefore couldn't eat either because of cross contamination. To be fair though, we were so full up we didn't need them anyway. The pear tarte tatin with the almond ice cream was so damned amazing I would eat that every day for the rest of my life and still want more. £100 per head a la carte incl wine, champagne and after dinner drinks.

As regulars at Alain Roux's, The Waterside Inn in Bray, after a Saturday evening visit to the Manet exhibition at the RA, we thought we would try another 'family' establishment, Roux at The Landau, which serves as the 'fine dining' restaurant for The Langham hotel. After being greeted by the very amiable Franco Becci, Restaurant Manager, we enjoyed Chef Chris King's (ex La Gavroche and a protege of Michel Roux Jnr.) excellent 'tasting/chef's menu', which at £60 (£100 including the sommelier's choice of wine with each course), really is good value. Special mention must go to the 'hare and Ventreche bacon 'black pudding'', which really was superb and the 'bitter chocoloate millefeuille' must also get a mention! Service was friendly and efficient and Franco very kindly arranged an interesting visit to the heart of the operation, to meet Chris King in the kitchen. We very much enjoyed our first experience at Roux at The Landau and think it will not be too long before Chris King earns his first Michelin Star!

We got the tasting menu with wine for £140 each. After watching Michel Roux on Masterchef we were expecting amazing dishes that would make Greg Wallace weak at the kness! Service and surroundings were great but food was disappointing. Not especially tasty, only one dish made us go 'this is really good'. If you are going to this restaurant I would go for the a la carte, or wait to get a table at Le Gavroche

A chic restaurant with excellant staff and food! The scallops for a starter were cooked to perfection. The pear tarte super! A nice wine to go with the meal.

Overall it was a very nice hotel restaurant and felt very comfy just being able to take the elavator "home" after dinner.

excellent food and good value for money. service was efficient and effective. valentines day menu was £95 pp but this was a good price as the quality of food was very high and when i choose to change a dish that was on the set menu to something vegitarian, it was done immediately. wine waiter was very knowledgable choose a wine that i would like based on what flavours i liked to drink, a good place to eat if you have no monetary budget.
