On the plus side the hotel was clean and convenient for our stay. Good to have parking. On the minus - no hot water in the evening, wifi also disappeared mid evening, lots of traffic noise and staff with limited English. Good sized room with tiny shower room. Squeaky bed and some issues at breakfast as there didn't seem to be enough tables for the number of guests. Can't say that we wouldn't stay again but definitely not at the front of the building.

Easily reached by train, nice quiet neighbourhood, clean room, good bathroom. Very nice staff! 24h receptionist, ok wi-fi, TV in the room. And an excellent breakfast included in the very affordable price. Truly recommendable :-)

We stayed here when visiting the area for a family wedding but found it was equally well placed for a trip to central London. Even with luggage, the guest house was within walking distance of Balham station. The room was spotlessly clean and the beds were comfortable. Our room was on the top floor and very quiet. Breakfast was buffet style and the food was well cooked. The staff, particularly those on the 24 hour reception, were very friendly and helpful. If we needed to stay in a guest house in this area again we would definitely see if this one had vacancies.

Room Tip: If you are OK with climbing stairs ask for a room on an upper floor. We were told by other family me...

We stayed here in June as our daughter couldn't accommodate us. We arrived late at night but had a lovely welcome. The room was nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was "no-frills" self-service but presided over by a lady who kept everything topped-up and clean. I didn't try the cooked food so can't comment on that but I thought it was very good for the price in London - Travelodge quoted four times the price and I bet their breakfast is no different!

Lovely hotel, pretty room, lovely and clean. Didn't have time for breakfast but really lovely little hotel with great facilities. Good transport links (regular bus outside takes you to Balham) Very good price, thoroughly recommended.

Stayed overnight in this guest house, checked in late after day at Wimbledon, reception polite and friendly and very helpful. Beautiful building, bedroom 9, a quirky twin which suited perfectly. Great bed, duvet and pillows, very clean. We thought breakfast was great, plenty, hot and nice environment. My new fav for short stay in the capital.

Firstly the hotel is lovely - decor tasteful and elegant and the reception staff brilliant.

What lets this hotel down is the breakfast offering which is dissapointing. On presentation quality of ingredients and flavour. We were really disappointed by the buffet styled steel tins of food whose contents had been boiling away for a good 3hours.

Room 2 is also very small - you can just about walk around the bed which in itself is small for a double, being by reception it's not the quietest of rooms either.

The bathroom is tiny and very crampt to day the least with there only being enough room to turn around.

It's has so much going for it - the room they can't change but the breakfast needs to be addressed.
