A musical that makes you Laugh and cry, it gives you goosebumps in places and the cast are terrific...... The kids in the show are absolute stars and their performances are just incredible. As a Northerner this show touched so much of my areas culture and past and it showed how the miners suffered during the strikes of the 80s, and also showed how having and living a dream isnt impossible. Stunning Show, Stunning performers, just a wonderful night out at the theatre.

The cast were absolutely outstanding. We were captivated from start to finish.
Billy Elliot, Billys Dad and Michael were just fantastic .
It was my husbands first visit to the theatre and he thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
If you are visiting London, do not miss the chance to see Billy Elliot at the Victoria Theatre.

I really can't express how enjoyable this show was, and to be honest - quite unexpected. It's been many years since I saw the movie and so I can't really comment on how much/well it relates to the show, but if you were to tell me we were about to see a show about a young dancer growing up in the north of Britain (really the only part I remembered from the film) set against the political turmoil of the miners strikes in the mid-80s, with a gaggle of kids dancing like you wouldn't believe (and throwing around some pretty salty language to boot), I'd have been a little skeptical ; ¬D)

However it was absolutely enthralling from the opening number, with excellent acting, staging, very innovative lighting and set effects, as well as some amazing dancing. While the show clocks in a 3hrs (including intermission) the time just flew past, and it didn't seem long at all.

With a lot of shows in the West End, the Victoria Palace Theatre is an older one, and I find that getting seats on the main floor is the best - every time I've been up in the balconies, I've found the seats to be on the small side and the legroom non-existent (I'm 6'2") and the seats on the main floor were very comfortable.

As many reviewers have already said, this show is heart warming, inspiring and I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't enjoy spending time with Billy Eliot.

well - choreographied musical however a bit dry at times, not much said or acted. at the end of act 1, the actor who played Billy Elliot fell ill and his understudy took over. Not only was he brilliant but he was actually better than the original actor.
