“Superb selection of wines and excellent buffet”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2012

I went here for a special and different lunch for my fiancee's birthday. I had noticed this place as I walked past it on my way to work, so I had a look at the website, rang them and booked.
It is very easy to find and conveniently located right next to the Tower Hill Underground station.
This is located in a 2-vault cellar and feels nice and intimate. As you walk down the stairs from the street, you walk into the first vault, where the wine shelves of ready to drink wines are arranged. The next vault has alcoves, low tables and a small kitchen. We were the only couple there and everyone else was apparently in groups having working lunches.
The wine selection is fabulous and the prices are very reasonable, at normal shop prices plus the charge of £7.00. It's definitely choosing something a bit special and there are lots of wonderful wines to be had. We had a great Gosset Grande Millésime 2000 champagne, recommended by the very polite and knowledgeable staff. We also had the buffet lunch, which is reasonably priced at £17 and has some great patés and cheeses, along with salad, bread, hams and quiches.
It was cold outside but the place felt warm, cozy and neat. The restroom was also meticulously clean, which is always a sign of a well-run establishment.
I am already planning to come back with some people that I know will appreciate it and I can definitely recommend this establishment.

“Does what it says on the door”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2012 via mobile

Knowledgable, accommodating, friendly, patient, well versed staff cater for your wine desires whatever your taste. Not only that, they'll sell you a case of your favourite at wholesale prices too! The food is typical of that at a wine tasting - buffet of cheeses, cold meats & pâté - but you don't go to the Wine Library for food.
The cool vaulted cellar is excellent and is perfect for private meetings, group gatherings, romantic lunches or whatever you fancy with your decanted bottle of delicious vino!

“Good business lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2012

A typical old fashioned wine bar experience which London has done well for years (e.g. The Habit, without the extensive menu but more intimate). Great wine selection at reasonable prices. Basic cheese, pate and ham on offer on a buffet eat as much as you like basis.

“Relaxed business lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2012

The wine library provides a compelling alternative to the multitude of fussy, expensive city restaurants. Situated off Trinity Square in Georgian vaults you are invited to select your wine from hundreds on offer and at prices significantly below what you would normally expect. Food is a fixed price, eat as much as you wish, buffet with beautiful cheeses, pates, breads and salad - Nothing complicated just simple food to accompany great wine.

“Excellent way to spend an afternoon!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2012

The Reynier Wine Library has been quietly doing its own thing for years. It has a simple format and does it perfectly. The space comprises two vaults in the basement of a buliding by Tower Hill tube/Crutched Friars. The first vault contains a long library-style shelf unit containinmg endless bottles of ready-to-drink wines. After purusing the wines you let them inow what you fancy and they decant it and bring it to your table.

The tables/alcoves/standing areas are in the adjacent vault. There is a cold buffet at one end from which you can get (apparently) unlimited refills. The food comprises, some delicious rustic pates, wonderful cheeses, quiches, bread and a simple dressed salad.

The wine library is a wonderful place top spend time with friends, colleagues or business guests and makes a welcome occasional change from the more usual restuarants in the city.
