“Perfect pies!”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

We came across Porter's after wandering aimlessly from Hilton London Euston. What an absolute delight! The steak and cheddar pie was wonderful and I feel I had authentic English food! We were only in London for 24 hrs and this was highlight. Sat right in front of the Union Jack and had a great waiter. The only sad point was not having room for dessert and tea! — with Sean Millen.

“Very good ...”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

Enjoyed the pre-theater "special" dinner, booked as part of our theater tickets package. This is not the world's fanciest restaurant, but the food was very good and an *excellent* value for the money, especially for the heart of London. The steak pies are outstanding. Service was quick, polite and friendly. A terrific place for some fine British "pub grub" before a night at the theater.

“Great dining experience”
Reviewed September 14, 2013

We went for Saturday lunch.
The decor is great
The food is great
The staff are excellent.
Prices are fair for the location of the restaurant and food quality and quantity.
Location is just away from the main area of Covent Garden.
Been here many times over the years and have never been disapointed.
Would recommend with confidence.

“Fabulous Pies!”
Reviewed September 10, 2013

We arrived cold and hungry but were soon warmed up by fabulous and tasty food. The pies are superb - I had an excellent Fish Pie and my Partner had a Steak Pie - both came with lashings of vegetables including slow cooked red cabbage. Delicious Puddings too!

“Hearty British cuisine in central London”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

Being Italian, I have a lot of friends who come to visit me in London with this preconception of England being a country with no decent food. Then I take them to Porter's. This gem of a restaurant nested minutes from Covent Garden has a rich menus of hearty traditional English dishes such as pies, stews, 'poshed up' fish&chips, and other specialties such as the delicious boar sausages. Highly recommended.
