“AMAZING Food....don't be fooled by the boring hotel exterior!”
Reviewed May 20, 2014

We had an amzing dinner at the Park Terrace. Their prix fixe menu is a steal and really first class. Service was exceptional...constant attention, without being overbearing or cloying. Friendly and formal but not stuffy. They bit just the right note.

Nuts and olives to start with our drinks. Duck and fois gras terrine was rich and textured. Beef main dish was probably the best quality beef I've ever had. Chicken was the only average dish... but made better with some perfect veggies and gnocci. Three types of bread to try...all quite different.

If you can't stay for dinner...go for their truly wonderful, multi layered dessert flavors. Omg. Milk chocolate pot (the name does not do it justice...this is a deep, rich chocolate...warm and thick)... was served with moist orange cake and a divine and tart orange sauce. Pear tart was cooked down to an intense and caramelized goodness...and had several other flavors and textures on the plate. We were just too full for the cheese course.

Sit at the window and enjoy the treetops In The park...so tranquil as there are no cars...just some bike riders and strollers out in the evening.

What a surprise to find a modern restaurant with exceptional food and service in such a boring looking hotel!

“One of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant!”
Reviewed April 30, 2014

My mother and I had afternoon tea here during our stay in London and, without exaggerating, I can say that this was by far the best experience I've ever had at a restaurant! The service was absolutely amazing! And the afternoon tea was to die for!!! Everything tasted fantastic. And the location, overlooking Kensington Gardens, just added to this lovely experience. I STRONGLY recommend having afternoon tea at Park Terrace Restaurant! It's well worth every pound!

They do fabulous afternoon teas. I bought a gift voucher as a birthday present, and it was thoroughly enjoyed. I wrote an extensive review here, if you want to get the whole lowdown on the fab experience you'll have:

“Outstanding Service”
Reviewed April 24, 2014

The morning hostess Martha was extremely pleasant and made us feel welcomed every morning by remembering my family ever time we were there for breakfast. The spread for the continental breakfast was very extensive ranging from fresh fruit to pastries and was fresh every day. The evening host Michael was no different. He was extremely pleasant and also made us feel welcomed by stopping by our table any night we were at the restaurant. Daniel (sp?) who was our evening server/bartender made us feel like VIPs by remembering our drink orders from previous evenings we were there. If you want to experience friendly world class service where you feel welcomed, I recommend visiting the Park Terrace Restaurant Lounge and Bar.

The staff were so friendly and attentive. We just popped in for a drink after a trip to the theatre and it was a very relaxed, friendly atmosphere
