Had a wonderful Sunday lunch at Park Terrace last weekend to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. The staff were extremely accommodating of our numerous requests (party of 12 adults and 2 babies) and were fantastic in enabling my sister (who lives in America) to surprise my mum by her arrival at our lunch. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding and the attention to detail was first class. We had an amazing time and we look forward to returning for our next special occasion.

My daughter in law found High Tea at the Park Terrace Restaurant because it was rated among top 5 places for tea. We had a very inflexible waitress who spoke with an East European accent. We gave no accommodations for our requests, did not fill the hot water as needed, neglected to give a napkin to one of the party of 5 and refused our request for simple bread as our 8 year old granddaughter has not been exposed to delicate pastry choices and just wanted simple bread and butter. She would have been very satisfied and we would have been happy too since she was happy. She was charged for the full price of tea (no reduction in price for children). We did like the pianist who played a variety of pieces and my wife gave her a good tip. I believe that the waitress went off shift (perhaps she was anxious to leave at the end of the shift but that is not a reasonable excuse for impoliteness and inflexibility) and the assistant manager came and offered us more hot water.

Once again the Park Terrace did not fail to provide a very special meal, with superb service throughout the evening. My friend and I were celebrating BIG birthdays and we were presented at the end of the meal with petite fours complete with lit birthday candle. Michael, his team and kitchen staff made this evening very special indeed. Thank you all very much, Ann and Valerie

We (a group of 6) ate here as a belated Mother's day celebration, and can honestly say it was one of the best dinners we have had in a long time. The staff were first class, the food exceptional, and the atmosphere very relaxing. Will definitely return!

We had afternoon tea here on Saturday 15th.

The service was excellent - very attentive without being obtrusive,. Our server was Diego who was very personable.

The surroundings were pleasant although it would have been nice to be seated closer to the window. Apparently this was not possible although most of the window tables were unoccupied during our visit.

The food was just ok, nothing special. Selection of sandwiches, small scones and cakes. Unfortunately the two chocolate cakes were unpleasantly heavy. One of the jams was pineapple and ginger which caters to a very specific taste and seemed an odd choice to accompany cinammon scones. It felt like more of a snack than a meal.

Perhaps lunch would have been a better choice and more filling.
