Description: The newly brushed-up and re-launched Footman in Mayfair definitely hasn't lost any of its British roots in the process. This much-loved pub, restaurant and private event space houses elegant, yet unpretentious surroundings, complete with a truly British menu featuring home-grown produce direct from the farmers. Guests can slide up to the long mahogany bar or comfy booth seating and enjoy well crafted favourites with our well established team. For those who feel that the wine bar set have lost sight of what made Britain great, The Footman Mayfair is definitely for you.

We had a family lunch here - a combination of a special birthday and Fathers' Day. The atmosphere was great, the food excellent (try the stealth chips!) and the staff very attentive (but not over-fussy.) This was our first visit and hopefully not our last one. Being a Sunday lunchtime, we didn't have to contend with the crowds of business people which some reviewers have mentioned, so that's something to keep in mind. It was mainly other families.

You might not stumble across the Only Running Footman, as it's tucked away in a small street in Mayfair (Green Park tube is a five minute walk away) but it's worth seeking it out.

We stopped in for a late lunch while out and about in London on a hot July day. We were pleased to find freindly (though not very british) staff and plenty of space to sit.

The English cask beers on hand pump were as room temperature ( so on this day quite warm ) as I've ever had them, which was fine by me, but those who like cold beer should stick to the other beers (including imports) on the pressure taps.

The food was good, though not remarkable. Pretty typical pub fare reasonably well executed. Everybody in our party of 3 adults and 2 kids seemed quite happy with the experience

Filled with suits on the Friday evening we tried, and all male it seemed. But if it's that popular there must be a reason.

The Only Running Footman is steps away from Berkeley Square. Here you'll find a great British Pub. Charming atmosphere, great service and an outstanding service. Good beer selection and a fantastic Fish & Chips. If you're in the neighborhood, don't miss it.

Enjoyed a nice dinner as a couple at The Running Footman. Tarragon Chicken Pie served in a mini cast iron pan was wonderful. Great curry seasoned fries accomanied the dish. the fish & chips were also very well prepared. Beer batter was crispy and the tartar sauce was amazing.

For a Wednesday evening I was surprised by the size and frevor of the gathering. Lots of business people letting off steam after a hard days work, and plenty of tourists enjoying the atmosphere. Wonderfully noisy and cosy.

Not an amazing meal out, but exactly what you would expect from a well run English Pub.
