Description: The newly brushed-up and re-launched Footman in Mayfair definitely hasn't lost any of its British roots in the process. This much-loved pub, restaurant and private event space houses elegant, yet unpretentious surroundings, complete with a truly British menu featuring home-grown produce direct from the farmers. Guests can slide up to the long mahogany bar or comfy booth seating and enjoy well crafted favourites with our well established team. For those who feel that the wine bar set have lost sight of what made Britain great, The Footman Mayfair is definitely for you.

very nice location and nice experience. Food was good but my expectations where a bit higher, especially as it was at the upper. We got the trainee waiter which still need to learn a bit. Would go back again but may be not for a special occasion such as xmas menu.

I love these little pubs nestled in between the grand townhouses of mayfair, and this is the best of those.

I have eaten here on quite a few occasions now.

The staff are great and very polite and helpful, nothing more, nothing less as it should be.

This is pub food as it should be, good taste and a plentiful portion. The specials are always a nice surprise.

They do good beer on tap.

The crowd in here are very nice, polite and caught up in there own groups, which is good for mayfair.

Definitely recomend.

My evening here was so frustrating. Frustrating because it should be and am sure (on another night) is, everything it is supposed to be. Unfortunately on this evening, it wasn't. The atmosphere and feel of the pub was great, the right side of fun and jolly without becoming raucous. The beer is well kept and the food was spot on. You would not have though ordering two pints of Bombardier and a glass of Rose would be too taxing but.......Five minutes after ordering from our table a server comes over to double check what we had ordered. Another few minutes go by and two pints of Guinness come over. "This isn’t what we ordered". "Would you like them instead". "Errr no they are very different drinks". Several minutes pass and we do finally get two pints of Bombardier. As we look expectantly at the server he looks blankly back until we remind him of the Rose; at which point he gets the menu to ask which one! Unfortunately this pretty much continued the whole way through. They were all very charming and pleasant, but seriously, I have not ever had such inefficient service and it would have ruined the night had it not got to the point of ridiculous and we laughed our way through all the blunders. It was like a polite version Fawlty Towers. At least we didn’t order a Waldorf Salad.

I go to the ORF almost daily as my office is across the st. So I decided to take 6 friends to dinner there, given the nice atmosphere and decent lunch menu. I am afraid this was a severe disappointment. The squid was completely free of any flavour. The mashed potatoes were from the day before or definately not freshly made. Steaks arrived cold. I could go on. We skipped desert. What a shame as managemtent, obviously pleased with bar traffic, appear to have taken their eye off the quality of food. If at least prices were pub like, maybe this would be half acceptable. But that is not the case as the average cost pp incl drinks came to over £50. We wont be going back for for a meal any time soon.

An English pub!! We ordered inside-it was packed with people-and drank our Harps outside. Chatted with some folks outside, also packed with people all around the front & side of the building. Obviously a popular spot.
