I stayed at the Travelodge adjacent to Masters Super Fish and wondered why so many London Black cabs were parked along both sides of the road. The answer is that Masters is a secret that those cabbies closely guard.
I ordered a large wing of Skate in batter and Chips and a cup of tea. The first thing I was brought was 3 pieces of French Bread and two portions of butter. Note! butter, not margarine and a pot of tea that served two generous cupful's.
Along with the bread and butter were 3 Shell on Prawns, a really nice unexpected touch. After a short wait, the skate and chips was served and too my surprise I was offered pickled onions and gherkin and large sauceboats of both tartar sauce and tomato ketchup. The fish was superb, as were the crispy soft centred chips.
This was a supper to die for! and the biggest surprise of all the bill £10.80p! I cant wait for my next visit! and if you want to go there call a cab - I'm sure he will join you there!
