my first visit but will not be my last...a fantastic time warp with great food and great staff at great prices...I took two guests who eat in all the top restaurants and they loved it...one rule...save room for pudding!

Thi was is a good restaurent, serving avarage food. I had the chiken patai and bread for starters and can tell you it was terrible as the volumes were so small and one can only describe as baby food. When we recieved our food the plates were cold and so was the food.. really a sad experince.

So this place has nearly a mythical following. You here how this restaurant is so old school it is still in hidden in a residential building and does not even have a website.

The Menu is £43 per person for 3 courses and there is no other options. It is worth noting that heavy weight items do often have a supplement of up to £5.

The place is just as you read about, stepping into a time warp. You expect them to serve Duck l'orange the whole gig is very 1970's chique and is absolutely jam packed every night.

Every table is given thin crust bread and a salad plate and blue cheese dip as you sit down.

Starters we had Smoked Salmon and Asparagus on a plate, and also the Seafood crepes with crab sauce. Very good quality but a bit on the bland side.

Main course were Veal Escalope with a delicious mushroom sauce, and secondly the sea bass fillets with lobster sauce. Both needed salt which was very surprising. I also asked for some Tabasco after a few bites. Dishes are served with your choice of vegetables.

Deserts were creme brullee which was just ok and the Tiramisu which was actually very good.

Overall the place is an experience, I dont think I would go running back soon because I found the food a little bit on the bland side for french food (Galvin down the road has no such blandness problem) I also thought they should allow people to order a la carte and put up a website so everyone knows what they are getting into.

Service was excellent.
