Now for £9.95 for a 3 course meal in almost central London you are not going to get Gordon Ramsey ,but you do get reasonable presentable food that is excellent value for money and the drinks were not overpriced.small choice usually denotes freshly cooked and I agree that frozen mixed veg went out with the ark.fresh veg would make such a difference for little or no extra cost to their bottom line.the staff were very friendly and the door us kept locked though until tables become available ,best to book.go in without expectations and you will come out happy.

“Good food, great price”

We chose the 3 course meal for £9.95 available if you also purchase a drink. The choice is not large but that is not a bad thing. The mushrooms "stiltonaise" were delicious as were the stuffed peppers. For mains we had the stuffed chicken and the salmon en papillote, both of which came with the same sauce. The dauphinoise were good but the veg was ordinary. The tiramisu was delicious. We enjoyed our meal so much that we went back again the next day. We did not book but were lucky enough to get a table as the place soon filled up.

“The Little French Restaurant - it is what it says it is”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2013

We stumbled on this restaurant when trying to find somewhere to eat in Earls Court area which was not another pub. We arrived early, which was good as the restaurant is small and a lot of the table were already booked even though it was midweek. The menu is not extensive (I actually don’t mind this as it means that they do a few things well rather than a lot of average dishes), but we both went for the “Lamb Wellington” which exceeded my expectations. Tasty cuts of braised lamb wrapped in a rough puff pastry served with an excellent demi-glace sauce. The vegetables were a little disappointing, (frozen veg) but the potatoes and chips were good and typically French in style.

The menu is well priced (most mains are £8.95) and a 3 course special was on offer at £9.95 (if you also bought a glass of wine - £2.95). To me this restaurant was like a number of typical back street bistros I have eaten in when traveling in France, but with better service.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good food reasonable wine and reasonable price – well worth a visit.

“A shame to call it French”

You get what you pay for! Or less. I thought you couldn't fail with a Coq au vin. They did. Everything is poor. The frozen microwaved vegetables, the quality of the wine and the prefab feeling of everything. I would never go there again.
