This still remains a favourite whenever I'm in London partly because it is convenient and partly because the food is good. Have given it an average rating because service really sucked the last time we were here, despite the fact that we are regulars (must have been there a dozen times). This is quite authentically a Spanish restaurant, and the crowd tends to be Spanish speakers (tourists and locals). Waiters (some almost geriatric) are slow and don't speak much English, so naturally they tend to engage better with the Spanish customers who sometimes have long discussions with them while others wait to be served (as if they weren't slow enough). If you speak Spanish you'll probably like this place especially the lively Spanish speaking crowd at the bar on a late night. On a busy day expect bad dinner service, but on quieter days things are general OK. Best dishes are the baby octopus and grilled chillies.
