“Wonderful Meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2013

My boyfriend and I had a lovely meal in Toms Kitchen! We both ordered steaks and they came perfectly cooked to our liking and they were very tender, we then the sticky toffee pudding and the hot choclate pot which we both throughly enjoyed! The service was phenominal, our main waiter was called Francesco and he was poilte, friendly and professional and their was a fab atmosphere within the restaurant. We liked it so much that the next day we went for breakfast aswell! When we visit London again we will be back!

“Mixed thoughts here!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

Great atmosphere , local affluent clients, very cool decor, ordered the pancakes for brunch and it was literally a cake! Some people might like this but I visioned a few maple syrup traditional cakes, I think an explanation on the menu or a little heads up from the staff would help, be warned!!! The burger was alright , I did see the breakfast go past a few times and that looked a winner, will try that next time! Not the best value but by the looks of everyone in there eating they could afford it!!

“Give yourself time...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2013

We called in here to meet our daughter and have lunch. We had no reservation but got a table which we were told was needed back in an hour - this suited us fine. We were seated on the first floor which was just lovely - a really nice space.
Despite ordering off the specials and having been limited in time by the maitre d', service was very slow and my husband's dish arrived cold. So we had to wolf down our food, which was a shame...
I say with more time we could have a better experience - the food was pretty good.
We'll try it again on a future visit.

“Extremely Good British Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 23, 2013

My wife and I and friends ate here during our stay in London. This restaurant had been recommended to us by a person who lived in London for a long time. The restaurant was very good. Very good menu and a variety of English specials like different pies. I had a chicken and mushroom pie and my friend had the fish pie which was mixed seafood covered with mashed potatoes. Atmosphere was nice and casual. Service was relaxed and competent. All four of us would strongly recommend this restaurant for anyone who is skeptical regarding English food.

“When is fish and chips, salad and chips?”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 23, 2013

Tom's Kitchen version of fish and chips arrived with the smallest serving of fish that it would fail the trade description act. Faced with a gaping empty space in the middle of the plate the chef filled the void with a collection of salad leaves - salad and chips. When pointed out to the somewhat embarrassed staff the manager knocked a whopping £1 off the bill. Will not be coming back.
