Tucked away inside a Holiday Inn, you might be surprised to find this little gem just a stones throw from Kings Cross station. The restaurant specialises in dishes from Kerala, the South Indian state sandwiched between the Western Ghat mountains and the Arabian ocean. The menu here is varied and has won numerous recognitions and awards for them. Zagat gives 24 out of 30 for Food and says" Serving “authentic, unusual” Keralan food at “outstanding-value” prices".

We a group of 10 people had a set meal dinner at Maricham. Staff explained the dishes clearly and advised the combination what is value for money. We had the taster set of various starters and beers. The main course was delicious and filling. The final bill was reasonable with £30/head including tip. Overall it was a excellent experience and everyone in the group enjoyed.

“Changed my mind. ..”
Reviewed June 17, 2013 via mobile

I am a very fussy eater, I actually came in looking for a tikka masala but not on this menu, waiter advised me of the food and I have to say it was fantastic and well worth a visit, you will never eat from another without comparing to this place. Will be back.

“Two great dinners”
Reviewed June 17, 2013

Had to great dinner at Rasa, at Holiday Inn in Kings Cross Road. A nice waiter suggested me how to select Indian food and combine one dish with another. King prawns with a mango sauce were great and also the lentil soup and the mango sorbet. Godd samosa, nice beer and good kerala chicken dish with coconut sause and raisin.

“REAL Indian food, fantastic restaurant.”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

We went here whilst staying in the Farringdon travel lodge opposite. We found it by accident. The food is authentic Indian cuisine, no tikka masala or madras but the kind of food you would expect if you stayed in India. You will never want an English Indian again! The menu is varied with a sample feast for a very good price. I strongly recommend this meal if you are unsure about what to have. The staff are very friendly and are more than happy to help you choose your meal. They explained everything on the sample feast to us so we knew what we had and were very attentive without being pushy. Without a doubt, the best Indian meal both of us have ever had. The place should be packed, but strangely it isn't. Give it a go, you really won't be sorry.
