Was looking for somewhere to eat around Euston Road, and remembered this ASK Italian just of Tottenham Court Road near Warren Street Tube Station.

For mains we had a pasta dish and a risotto dish. Both were excellent. We were tempted by the sweet menu. Apple Rustica and Chocolate Nemesis hit the spot. Great value and speedy service.

Yes, we will go again.

I visited ASK for a meal when staying nearby and ordered garlic bread as a starter and lasagne as a main.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and very modern and a stones through from the main road. The space inside the restaurant is so small and too cramped. I noted that there was a downstairs however this didn't seem to be used.

There was only three members of staff waiting on, and at times there was a long wait between courses, and when ordering more drinks or when paying for the bill. This wasn't such an issue, however you could tell they were understaffed and couldn't cope with the amount of customers.

The food was just average. It wasn't anything special, yet wasn't poor. I would say if you need a place to eat, and can't find anywhere else then go here, if not you could probably find better.

Fascinating to read the very critical review from just after our very different experience (on February 1 2012). We had just arrived from Edinburgh at our hotel near Euston and set out for Fitzrovia on a bitterly cold evening, just looking for sustenance rather than a gourmet experience and found this restaurant just as we struck off the top of Tottenham Court Road. We had never heard of ASK (they hardly happen in Scotland) but thought we'd try it. Simple modern decor and furnishings, standard Italian menu (with some interesting specials) and standard prices. All I can say is that everything we had was cooked exceptionally well, tasted fresh and good and was served promptly and piping hot; the calamari were as good as any we have ever had in the UK and even the broccoli was cooked to perfection! The service (from young English staff - so the style was a bit different from the rather different charm one gets from the Edinburgh Italians) was charming and efficient. All in all it was just what we needed. I hope this review and the other, taken together, will encourage the staff to aim at the 1 February performance every night!

A poor meal was had here. My chicken marsala managed to have both non-crispy, floppy skin and over cooked meat. My partners' pizza was dry and bland. Service was none too great either considering we were one of only two tables occupied at that time of the evening.
