We stayed in the annex which was a block or two down the street, which wasn't a problem. The room was nice and modern and clean. I really wish it had air conditioning however because London was having a heat wave and it was very hard to sleep. Opening the windows helped only somewhat, and added street noise. The service was quirky and friendly. Would be nice if there was 24 hour reception (at the main location). After hours you have to call a phone number if you want service. Location-wise it's a bit of a walk to anything interesting, but there are accessible buses, some that go to Shepherds Bush tube station and some that go to Kensington High Street station. Figure it out and you won't have to walk too far. Good value for the money in a very expensive city. Might stay here again even though it's not perfect.

The service was ridicolous. They actually had two houses, we were located in one two blocks away from the reception. And the bath had a smell. The wifi did not work. The breakfast was poor. There are many better options in this city!

Hi all, we choose this hotel because of its location, price and reviews, which were quite good. Ok so I start nagging first: the room was tiny: do not go there if you are a bit claustrofobic or with asma. My bf could not sleep because of that, and he is a pretty normal person otherwise. The bathroom was even smaller that one could imagine: so no people who have a bit of a weight problem. The rooms however clean and ours was newly made so no complaint about that. The stuff was in the medium. some were really nice and polite, others made you feel that they do their job and afterwards they get molested or something. The other thing was that we did not get the breakfast the last day, as we were leaving early. Hello, have you ever heard of breakfast alias lunch packages, like in other hotels? If one pays breakfast, well the naively think that they will get one eventually, even if they leave the hotel early in the morning. Otherwise the breakfasts were good. The location of hotel is good as it is in the first travel zone, and there are plenty of buses. But still as we were leaving early Sunday morning: the tube was not going yet to Victoria, and no bus services either at that hour (and it was not that early 06:30 am), so we were forced to take a cab, which was OK, at least we had that experience of taking one! :) However for the price we have paied we might return there.

We chose this hotel for our 3-day stay in London because of the price and location. For the price we paid, we were very happy with it. It was clean and comfortable. We were assigned to a better room than we had booked for no extra charge, which meant that we got our own ensuite bathroom rather than having to share. The rooms are a little tight on space, but we weren't in London to sit in our hotel room! The staff were very friendly and helpful. When we arrived, we found that our room had not been cleaned when the last guest there checked out. The girl at the front desk took care of the oversight very quickly. We were very close to the tube station and it was quite simple for us to get to central London from the hotel. Kensington is a nice area, and we enjoyed walking in the evening. The breakfast was also a draw for us. Nothing fancy but good and filling for a day of sightseeing!

Clean hotel with very friendly staff. I had a basic room, which was very basic and the bathroom and toilets were shared 2 floors down. Breakfast was included, and was continental but provided a good start to the day. No complaints due to the low price per night and the decent location well served by the buses and close to Kensington high street and the white city shopping centre. Would have no qualms about staying again, also of note the wi fi is excellent, I was on the top floor and the signal was very strong throughout my stay ( there is a £5 charge for the wi fi). Excellent hotel!

We were completely seduced by this hotel with an unfortunate name, but a cleanliness and welcome well above par. The rooms are clean, the public rooms are comfortable and in some respects exceptional. We visited in late winter, and the innkeeper kept a smokeless coal fire going in the sitting room in the evening. In fact, this was the first coal-fire I have ever sat before. I have tried to attach a photograph.
The hotel is very close to the 9 and 10 bus lines that go into London, 10 to Oxfordd Street, and 9 to the Strand. Four stops away is the High Street Kensington tube station. A small downside to the hotel is the small breakfast room; when everyone in the hotel wants to eat late, some must wait for a table. The guests are mainly from all over Europe, and when we were there, it was like being in a yoouth hostel, as most of the guests were in their 20s and 30s.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that does not face the street, which does have a lot of traffic.

Hotel very old, but clean. Small hall and diningplace. Okay for stay 3 -4 days. Cheap, very close to Westfield shoppingmall. Good public transport close to hotel. We got a better room than the booking said
