Adam Street is a private members club aimed at entrepreneurs. There's usually a mixture of suits and jeans, so there's no single 'type' of member. Non-members can book for lunch, but pay a premium. British menu, brilliantly executed. Good value wine list. Very friendly service. Find a member to take you!

As a member of Adam Street Club, I've come to use the restaurant regularly over the years. The set menus are always well prepared and priced nicely. The wine list has never failed. And the service (Jenny, in particular) has always been friendly and efficient. It's open to non-members at lunchtime for a fee, and well worth the visit, underneath the cavernous arches of Adam Street. This used to be the Green Room, and another bar further downstairs called The Researsal Room is supposedly where the greats like Alec Guiness used to prepare before setting off the West End.
