We were very disappointed over a couple of issues with our 4 night stay in this flat.
Firstly, we were without heat for nearly 2 days. We notified the manager the night of our arrival, that the flat was very cold. Although a staff person came over to temporarily turn it on the next morning, he actually ended up shutting down both our heating system, and hot water simultaneously. This is in addition to his unexpected entry into our apartment while we were still sleeping. We were given no indication of his entering our flat, and this was very disruptive.
Without heat for 2 nights, it was difficult to sleep, due to the cold. Additionally, without hot water for 1 night, we could not take a shower the second night we were there.
There were also no instructions on how to convert the sofa bed to a bed despite paying extra for it. In fact, we asked for the sofa bed to be set up in the bed format, because we had no intention of using it as a sofa. The manager refused.
After our stay, we requested a partial refund for the heating and hot water issues. The staff denied there was any problems, and said it was "corrected for you within an hour... This is an excellent response time." They are clearly running a dishonest business, as I will again state, we were without heat for 2 days, and without hot water for 1 day. The outside temperature in London was about 15 degrees C during our stay.
Eventually we were refunded 50 pounds, but this was not equivalent to our disruption, and we were disgusted at the staff's initial denial.
