Thank you for your review and I am glad that on the whole you enjoyed your stay. It is not correct to say we do not allow 3 people in a room. We only have a few rooms that will take an extra bed. I am sorry you were mis informed.

I LOVE this hotel! I first booked it for my mother years ago when she went to visit family and did not want to impose. She is a HUGE Beatles fan (Grew up in Liverpool) and was so impressed on her first visit, that she has since returned on several occasions to show everyone. She no longer stays with family when she goes home for visits.

My only disappointment was that the hotel does not allow 3 people to share a room; even though the rooms are quite spacious and could easily fit a roll away bed. Working in the hotel industry, I was shocked to learn this. I decided to join my mother for 2 days and booked us all tickets from London, but when she called to inform the hotel that there would be 3 of us, she was told this was not allowed. My mother now lives in Toronto and I live in London so it is not very often that we get to see each other and she was looking forward to showing off the hotel to me. She was so disappointed and ended up paying for a second room for me for a night. I really did not want her to, but she really wanted me to stay.

Other than that hiccup, and staying in a £120 a night room without slippers or a robe provided, my stay was great! Decor is beautiful--loved the bars too!

I am a Scouser, born and bred in the city and has been my plan for years now to spend some time back in Liverpool as a tourist, but life kept getting in the way. This past week I realised my ambition and checked into the Hard Days Night Hotel in the city centre to celebrate my birthday and our wedding anniversary. Having been to the hotel before for lunch and afternoon tea, I wanted to give the rooms a try. We were not disappointed. The staff are so friendly and accommodating from doorman, check-in to restaurant staff. Our room which was next to the lift was brilliant for me, having a slight mobility problem., although not large, it is beautifully appointed with very subtle design and decor and lovely bathroom. Security is tight tho, with swipe cards for entry onto the floors and into the rooms. It took a bit of getting used to to work out the air-con and lighting system of the room which is all digital and push-button, but then I am only just getting used to the 21st century. Although this is a Beatles-themed hotel, do not expect to see Beatles on overkill....this is a low-key themed hotel with interesting collectables displayed everywhere - full marks to the designers for keeping it such and converting a listed building into this smart boutique hotel. Great value for money tho breakfast is quite basic, would be nice to have fresh grilled tomatoes at breakfast and not tinned, and perhaps some fresh fruit and cheese but on the whole an adequate breakfast. Breakfast area staff very friendly and helpful. A nice touch showing photos on the wall of this area of everyone on the cover of the Sgt. Pepper album and their histories. I loved the young guy playing guitar and singing Beatles (and other) ballads in the bar on Friday evening. I would highly recommend a stay here as it is good value, pleasant atmosphere, very comfortable and in a terrific spot for sightseeing (right next door to Mathew Street and the Cavern etc.) and very close to the new Liverpool One shopping area, the seafront, the galleries and rennovated Docks area. My only regret is that we missed the Chagall exhibiton just opening at Tate Liverpool but we plan to return before the summer is out.

This hotel was lovely - I really appreciated all the thought put into the decor and the finishing touches. The hotel was classy and the theme was beautifully carried throughout; room clean and spacious; staff friendly - no complaints whatsoever. I would always wish to find fresh fruit at breakfast, and perhaps a wider selection of bread, but other than that everything was quite perfect. I wouldn´t consider staying anywhere else in Liverpool.

Having stayed there last visit, this time we were on a tighter budget (!!) but went for Afternoon Tea - could not be faulted, from the selection of cake and sandwiches to the friendliness/attentative waiters, nothing too much trouble, but also not overly attenative which can be just as off-putting...great value for money - and the little Hard Days Night chocolate button on the cake - just a classy quirk touch!

Wonderful concept. When I booked the hotel I was expecting it to be a tad cheesey and dare I say it tacky. Not one bit. The look, feel and décor were spot on. the staff efficient and friendly. The rooms are all individually decked out in Beatles artwork. There's some lovely touches. The music manuscripts suspended from the ceiling in the reception area resembling stalactites, rather apt as the Cavern is just around the corner. Even if you are not a Beatles nut you'll love it. Oh, Liverpool. What a transformation following 2008 City of Culture award. Well done. We had a a fab time. I'd be delighted to spend 8 Days a Week at the HDN.

Great hotel if you love the Beatles. Pictures everywhere. Loved the feel and the dedication to the foursome. Great location, about ten minute walk to Albert Dock. Not the friendliest staff but didn't spend that much time needing to talk with them. If you love the Beatles, definitely stay here!
