We stayed here for a simple overnight before our ferry trip to the Isle of Man. What a great location. We arrived to Liverpool by train and the Aloft was only a 15 minue walk, easy even with luggage. The ferry terminal was less than a 10 minute walk and downhill. There were plenty of restaurants, shops, and visitor attractions in walking distance. This Aloft is a BEAUTIFUL old insurance building that was lovingly rennovated. If you stay, check out the stairway rather than taking the elevator. Our room had a lot of design features that added space such as a sliding barn door for the bathroom and a curtain covering the closet. We had a deep windowsill and lots of space to spread out. Many outlets and USB ports. I also received a lovely welcome gift, I'm assuming because of my Elite BonVoy status, but it really made me feel special. This hotel is in the center of everything in Liverpool, but very quiet due to doublepained glass and solid construction. We had a wonderful nap in the afternoon( had just flown in from the states overnight) and a great night's sleep.
