Value for money?

3.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Nov 18, 2017
Great location but felt really disappointed for value for money after paying nearly £200 for my king double I found the room to be small and not much room to move about. It was really disappointing as I don't smoke but found my bathroom to smell of stale smoke. I had no mini bar so had to kept ordering room service which was not cheap. Great location and bar staff where friendly but slow to make drinks.

Our last 48 hours of our UK trip in Liverpool.
Cannot fault accomodation ....so central and staff very helpful.
Thanks to concierge Robin....knows Liverpool city without blinking...a proud scouse! Treated with courtesy and a sincere interest with guests and their queries.
Recommended also to go on Fab Four Taxi Tour...3 hour Beatles tour... best recommendation...thank you. It was priceless.

Room was beautiful....
Thanks also for organising taxi for our departure to Manchester airport.

Service was exemplary.

Thank you....and what a cosy city Liverpool is.

Cheers

Make sure you book your treatments well before. The spa is small so a little difficult to book on the day. Stayed in a suite. Worth the upgrade. The building is amazing. Didn't have enough time to look around properly. Front of house staff were really friendly, nothing seemed to much. Cookies on check in is a nice touch. Used the bar in the evening and listen to live music. Decor is very tasteful, bed very comfortable. All the touches in the bathroom you need. Didn't get to spend enough time in Spa, so can't comment.

Broken safe in a suite, they charge you £5 to bring orange juice, no complimentary water in room, shower was terrible with no pressure, delay in getting into room as it was not ready, bar closes early which I found astonishing as most high end hotels keep bars open till late, overall terrible hotel for the price.

The service in this hotel was the best I have received. Staff were attentative to our needs and went the extra mile.
The hotel is centrally located. Beautiful inside and out.
Home was simply amazing.
And the spa is the jewel in the hotels crown.

10 days ago we made a late booking at this hotel, as we were attending a city centre music concert on the Saturday night, and wanted to stay somewhere central to all the amenities.

We were very pleased with the welcome we received, and indeed with any staff members we encountered. We were able to unload the car outside the hotel door, then had to park in a multi storey car park a couple of minutes walk away. Our room was on the 6th floor, allowing us a quiet and peaceful night's sleep, away from traffic noise. It is located on a fairly quiet side street, so there is little overnight traffic anyway.

Breakfast was all self-service with a good choice of hot and cold food, but the hot content did not stay very warm for long.

Our main issue was with the price we had to pay - over 300 pounds for one night's bed & breakfast for two, including parking. Any other night it would have been less than 90 pounds per room ! Apparently Liverpool city centre hotels can name their price on home match days, because foreign fans will willingly pay top prices !!
