10 days ago we made a late booking at this hotel, as we were attending a city centre music concert on the Saturday night, and wanted to stay somewhere central to all the amenities.
We were very pleased with the welcome we received, and indeed with any staff members we encountered. We were able to unload the car outside the hotel door, then had to park in a multi storey car park a couple of minutes walk away. Our room was on the 6th floor, allowing us a quiet and peaceful night's sleep, away from traffic noise. It is located on a fairly quiet side street, so there is little overnight traffic anyway.
Breakfast was all self-service with a good choice of hot and cold food, but the hot content did not stay very warm for long.
Our main issue was with the price we had to pay - over 300 pounds for one night's bed & breakfast for two, including parking. Any other night it would have been less than 90 pounds per room ! Apparently Liverpool city centre hotels can name their price on home match days, because foreign fans will willingly pay top prices !!
